This is perhaps the only Sports Association who derives its legal status from an external source [ICC] and owes no allegiance to the Constitution and yet claims to represent the country. It is simply a Society registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act. As a ‘private club consortium’, not even a legally elected state cricket association can be its member unless introduced by an existing member [Cp. the on-going legal battle Rajsathan Cricket Association has to fight], yet it allows States of Maharashtra and Gujarat 3 member-bodies each! Its State-bodies are supposed to ‘elect’ members, yet their Officials who control proxy-votes [read their drivers & gardeners] in hundreds, make a mockery of this democratic process. The Government has no say in Board’s administration, yet without BCCI’s permission, even they can host no competitive cricket involving the Board’s contracted [read hired] players within or outside the country. The Selection Committee does ‘select’ players to represent players to represent the country, yet under Clause 13(a)(iv) of the BCCI Constitution, it is its President who “shall approve the composition of a team, selected by the Selection Committee." BCCI collects millions from public through TV, media rights distribution and gate-money, yet claims rebates for Income Tax. It is perhaps bigger that the country’s government, constitution and applicable laws!
Whether one likes or not the BCCI under NS has grown and all cricketers old and new have benefited and recognised by BBCI and money given.If u see other leading sportspersons in other sports are in penury and forgotten.Indian cricket (not our present team) is at a all time high and the credit goes to NS. issues for which he is not directly responsible should not be used gainst him!!

Srini is an industrialist not poliitticcal begggaarrrs like shhuukkla,pawwwaaarr,jaaaitleeyy. he is not earning anything from bccci. can these felllowwas tell how ssrrkk,shhielpa,prreeitty got carorres of money to own iippll teams.(they aree bbeenaaamis of dee gaaanngg). he has donated the laddu prasadam facility in Tirupati. can anybody tell about the above dee binaammis ?
