Why Murali Vijay in the team?
by kumar on Feb 19, 2014 11:39 PM  | Hide replies

curious to know why Murali Vijay in the team even after repeated failures. Why not give opportunties to players like Rayudu. I beleive it is better to move either Rahane or Rohit Sharma to opening and keep Rayudu as the Middle Order Batsman.

Since Jadeja is better than Ashwin, it is better if Selectors can start giving chances to either Binny or Nair and see how they perform as allrounders. Eventhough Ashwin is talented, I believe he is not talented enough to be a permanent member of indian team

Virat - more like 5/10
by Sreejith Sreedharan on Feb 19, 2014 11:29 PM

Just because of the drop of McCullum, he went on to make another 300 in a match we should have won by an innings margin

Worst Captain Dhoni.
by sachin tendulkar on Feb 19, 2014 07:47 PM  | Hide replies

He couldn’t get out Faf Duplesis in SA and now he couldn’t get our McGullam in NZ even in those alien conditions. Before Tea – Kohli bowled and after Tea Dhoni bowled. Starting from 71st over itself, thinking about the new ball available only after 80th over! Even tailender will score 50 runs from those 10 overs.
We need aggressive captain like Kohli...

And both Faf & Mac are in CSK now. All 3 will play “pacha colouru chingu chan, karuppu colour chingu chan, manja colour chingu chan”

We need sharp bowlers or at least one who can take critical wickets when in need.If bowlers cannot take wickets for 2 days what can he do.

every tour somebody from opposition will resist, but if we do not have a bowler who can take that wicket then we cannot win..

Enviable at home????
by Vish on Feb 19, 2014 06:57 PM

"For a captain who enjoys an enviable reputation at home,". Not sure what this is??? England beat India 2-1 in the last Test series at home. Australia almost won the last ODI series, which was closely fought. Before that Pakistan beat Team BCCI in ODIs at home. Even West Indies managed to beat Team BCCI in a couple of ODIs at home. But overseas Team BCCI cannot win even one game, either ODIs or Tests, leave alone winning a series.

by Muhammed on Feb 19, 2014 06:42 PM

Women? After all Men's cricket team have not been able to win a single match, both in SA and New Zealand, so better send Women's team - what worst can happen? they will also loose all matches, but at least for a change, they will earn some good Money.. why this discrimination against women?

Re: Indian Team

Why you guys are not talking about the performance of Rohit Sharma in both SA and NZ one dayers and Shikhar in both the one dayer. They have got lot of chances to fine tune. Even for that matter, Rahane scored 51 in 5 One dayers in NZ. He scored 47 in 5 one dayers against eng in India. No body even dares to open his mouth. After one failure, we all started talking about Murali Vijay (even the great gambhir was given opportunity after failure in subsequent tours for 2-3 years before removing). He was the top rungetter for India in the series against Australia. The very own guys rated him high in the SA series. I am not saying stick with him. But give him needed opportunity. Even in the limited time in the first innings (first test) he got out is a unplayable ball and was very comfortable till then. whereas, many of our stars were lucky to get lifes when they scored big. Do not keep waiting for Vijay to fail to start bashing. We know how comfortable Rohit Sharma was against new ball both in SA and NZ. He cannot replace Vijay.

Time to kick out CSK players from team india (Srinivasan) pvt. ltd.) If srinivasan is kicked out then naturally dhongi will be kicked out of indian team and his chandal chowkadi (Raina, murali, ashwin, jadeja). India needs hard decisions to be better side in world cricket otherwise now we are loosing outside india but day's will come when india will be whitewashed in india as well.

Its not the case with India alone that gets defeated overseas. Overseas teams when come to India face similar situation. All teams are strong at their own backyard. For that blaming the Captain alone is not fair. Cricket is a team game and everyone contributes to its success as well as failure. Why to blame Dhoni alone and why to credit/praise him alone for success? Just enjoy Cricket and put an end to this useless discussion.
