CAN THE INDIAN BOWLERS DELIVER THI8 TIME AROUND ?
by damodaran mohan on Feb 15, 2014 02:21 PM  | Hide replies

The first question that comes uppermost to mind is if India will be able to capitalize from a position of advantage ? Doubts invariably crouch the mind as India has repeatedly allowed such position of advantage to slip out of hand in oversea tour right from Aus to WI to SA to now NZ.In fact in the last SA tour India were in even better position sensing victory on the 5th day of the first Test. But bowlers failed to deliver when the batters clicked !In the first Test in NZ, the bowlers did a brilliant job of skittling NZ to just around 100 runs but batters fell short by about 40 runs chasing a big total of over 400.So the story of so near but yet so far keeps repeating. In this match likes of Dhawan, Dhoni and Rahne played very responsible innings to give India a sizable lead of around 250 runs to put India in a commanding position. Question is after this Indian domination so far given Kiwi’s fragile batting can the Indian bowlers like Md Shami, Ishant , Zaheer and Jadeja do some disciplined bowling in the right areas and win the match for India to break the jinx of series of overseas Test losses ? .

Even if NZ make 350 plus which is unlikely, India will only chase down 100 odd.....they will win for sure...
