its very obvious that these player are costing so many games. i think, they will do this in the middle of worldcup 2015 after loosing critical matches. We all know these players are going to fail in the next match as well so why to invest more on them?

The good news is even NZ will be depleted a bit as Ross Taylor will not be available because of birth of his second child. With Ish also out their replacements: both Latham and Neesham are new to test cricket. India should capitalise on that. Plus NZ openers too are wobbly. Seriously India should have a 4 men pace attack: Shammi, Ishant, Umesh and Pandey. No place for Zaheer anymore. He is simply truddling his overs.
We came very close to winning the first test. NZ was rather lucky to win the test. NZ's batting line up is very vulnerable. India will win the test and level the series easily. Now be true Indians and pray for the team.
Just learn from Australia as to how they are batting today and building the parternships. Dhoni might have some pre planned comments before outcome of the match. So he might have been prepared that already
Yes India can save its face only by match fixing. If the series ends level (1-1), it can be understood that India has thrown money to save its face.
Many Indian cricket fans are either fools or blind. People crazily watch IPL. After seeing these matches many should get a doubt that these matches are fixed. But Indians are such ardent devotees of cricket that they overlook it. Only last years IPL (IPL6)brought match fixing fiasco into the light. Now the same is confirmed by Justice Mudgal's report. In future, IPL will become more or less like WWF where everyone knows it is a fake fight but people crazily watch it.
Nothing can be done. But some something can be done after this series.
Sack Rohit sharma, Murali Vijay, Ravichandran Ashwin. Look for all rounder who can perform overseas and then take a call on Jadeja.
Most important thing is remove Dhoni from test captaincy. Ever since Dhoni took over captaincy, he was more keen in retaining his captaincy rather than looking at best interests of the team and its performance.
When he found it difficult leading the team with more seniors, he should communicated that he will take the responsibility at a later stage. Instead he brought up the concept of phasing out the seniors. And almost all the seniors Anil Kumble, Saurav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Laxman were forced to retire barring sachin because of his iconic status. Dont know what ever are the reasons he also had the support of the selectors. These seniors were always under immense pressure to perform or perish. The result of the same was evidently seen with India losing in two over seas series.
Now other seniors like sehwag, gambhir, harbhajan are also meted out with the same treatment. One may say their domestic performance is not good. But that is also due to rough handling of the senior resources. Time and again Dhoni was only instrumental in bringing others careers to a forced end & always with the support of selectors. The result is alwayss India is losing overseas series.
Dhoni is a good thinking captain but a poor resource manager without vision. So are our selectors.

kumble, ganguly, dravid, laxman, sachin retired right time if not overstayed. shewag, saurav got umpteen chances and everybody was screaming for blooding dhawan. vijay did very well in india, ok in SA. bhaji got a lot of chances as well but ashwin was presumed to be a star of the future, though failed on his chances. Nothing wrong with selecters and dhoni on these guys. one issue with dhoni is he keeps persisting with some failing resources for some unknown reasons. like rohit, ishant, ashwin, to some extent jadeja. sometimes they deliver, sometimes they don't. ishant turned the CT finals around and got trophy for us. but failed the team miserably there onwards. while hindsight is 20/20, hard to say the selectors did wrong. and they will have to persist with dhoni's captaincy because no other choice either.

We should have alternatives not only for batsmen but also captains. Dhoni ensured that there is no other alternative by sidelining them from the national team. Selectors should have alternatives for captain. It should never be vested interests of a person or a one man show. Dhoni is trying to put up a one man show which is not good for Indian cricket. Selectors should be visionaries of future of Indian cricket. How can one say that we dont have alternative for a captain in a cricket crazy nation like India Doesnt it sound absurd

Dont you agree that Dhoni is adopting double standards in team selection. Giving unusually long rope to some players and very critical of some other players. A captain should be impartial that is the first and foremost leadership quality required in a captain
It is shocking to know that Indian cricket captain Dhoni is well within the betting ambit in IPL tournament. He is not only the captain of CHENNAI SUPER KINGS BUT HE DELIVERS THE INSIDE INFORMATIONS TO THE BOOKIES. This captain can not help the country to win the game as he is morally defeated. SO, DHONI MUST BE DROPPED FROM THE INDIAN CRICKET TEAM WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY.
