I doubt if I call Badri a "hot buy"; But, he missed out

First of all, Badrinath only has to blame himself rather than blaming everyone else. Everyone knows he has limited range of strokes and can only help in steadying the ship in case of fall of quick wickets and stem the slide. Had he set a lower base price or himself say, Rs. 50 lakh or so, who knows? the competitive bidding could have taken his value even much more beyond Rs. 1 crore mark as in the ase of a few lesser known, lesser talented batsmen.

CSK has lost its Chennai flavour and I really doubt if the team can attract crowds as we'd find it difficult to identify ourselves with Jaddus, Mohits and Nehras. I believe more than the team owners, it's MSD who influenced the buying and the team's composition. It's time CSK gets rid of MSD and gives chance to more TN players and wears a real CHENNAI look. Now that everyone knows IPL is a farce, hiking the ticket prices only would kill the goose that lays golden eggs for the owners and make them bankrupt.
