No more new Ball
by Charlie Schembri on Feb 10, 2014 12:06 AM

Srinivas and BCCI must let all the ICC memebr country know not to use the new Ball against Dhoni's team.

Dhoni is the best captain in the world as claimed by Shastri/Gawaskar and co. ANd he will not remain the best captain if he keep losing test because other team is using new ball and defeating Dhoni's team..

Dhoni'd cricket----- Burte force no strategy?????????
by skb on Feb 08, 2014 02:47 AM

Dhoni's cricket mind..... Brute force and whoever is good in India is good everywhere!!!!!!!! Who is his strike bowler??????????? Where is Amit Mishra?????? Should understand only wrist spinner can be best option out of India. In India anyone can turnthe bowl and for that you do not need Ashwin or Jadeja!!!!!! If not given opportunity how Mishra can show his worth?????? He could become as good as Shane or Mustaque but let him play some matches

tigers at home and lambs abroad
by Sunil Vaidya on Feb 07, 2014 09:05 PM  | Hide replies

many people here wont like it ...but dhawan rohit vijay kohli pujara have not created this image of indians as tigers at home and lambs abroad....it is players of previous generations the bowlers and the batsmen who have created this image...this new generation indian team in fact has done good in away conditions many times...but many people like to forget that...and idolize players who are responsible for that image in the first place....

it is people like gavaskar, vishwanath, vengsarkar, amarnath, sachin dravid laxman sehwag kapil srinath kumble harbhajan etc. who have created this image ....you people want to talk about them in glowing terms ...but tell me what have these people done? ok some good performances here and there but on the whole are not they to blame when people show stats about how little we have won abroad??

Your logic certainly applies to the captain. Ganguly, Dravid and Kumble built the team and that team took India to #1 ranking. And some retarded people think that fool Dhoni is equally great of a captain..

what is troubling India
by thomas mathew on Feb 07, 2014 07:46 PM

It is the bowling for quite sometime. Any coach can get the team till what his capability and imagination can take . In the case of India ,right from the time Venkatesh Prasad has come in as the Bowling coach, the standard stopped at what Venkatesh Prasad was and we have been seeing all these years after he has come that unless the opposition blundered so very badly, we have been bleeding and bleeding and bleeding runs and just because of the batsmen we have been rescued . In Foreign pitches especially when the bowlers helped the opposition so much batsmen come under pressure though they need to be more mature and apply themselves a bit more . The immediate remedial steps probably would be to change the bowling coach to someone like Mcgrath or the like and get Kirsten back as coach .

Indians keep crying till Dhoni is playing in test as captain
by lee on Feb 07, 2014 07:14 PM

India team and Indians will keep on crying as long as Dhoni is the captain of Indian test team. Dhoni has absouletely no idea about test matches, he is stubborn makes weird experiments which is useless and keeps on his loosing combination playing XI. India needs someone strong to believe that they can win cricket matches now. Team is 100% demotivated and still scared from Dhoni.

No comparison
by indira on Feb 07, 2014 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

Ex cricketrs and media raved that Kohli is next Sachin, Pujara is next Dravid and Dhawan is next Sehwag. But look at their performances! They can't even last 10 overs. Dhawan can shikar only in Indian conditions. Kohli is a good one day player but needs to do well in test matches. Pujara is also good in Inidan conditions. Never be in a hurry to compare players. Should wait till they play atleast 2 or 3 series overseas.

you don't seem to be a student of the game of cricket. else you will not make such a remark. Sachin, sehwag, gambhir got out cheaply many times. But how can you include Dravid in this list is shocking, he's always played for the team & helped team when in trouble. Had he like sachin played for records he would never have been out in 90's so many times. Pl check cricket stats before writing such remarks about the gr8 Rahul Dravid. In the current Indian team only Kohli is the best but still in ODI's, hes to play better selected shots in Tests. Hope india put-up a good show in 2-Test series.

Sipher Dhawan & Murli Parajay
by pradeep agarwal on Feb 07, 2014 06:18 PM  | Hide replies

That is what they depicts as of now.The repeated failure at top has made our batting look ordinary. This should make people understand the value of Sehwag & Gamhbir who were like rock for a long period when India won may test & ODI.The glorification of one series wonder Dhawan & under performer Murli shows the games played by BCCI to undermine players who may have suffered loss of form but deserves better deal

check the no. of wins in tests and odis that murali vijay and dhawan have been part of and then compare them with the no of wins sehwag and gambhir were part of...

dont write trash pradeep agarwal...
very surprising that even after the two ''away'' test white washes you want sehwag and gambhir back...

btw most of the times sehwag and gambhir were rock in indian conditions rather than on foreign tracks...right?

you want more test whitewashes because of your imaginary bad deal to sehwag and gambhir??

Only a person without cricket knowledge will forget the triple hundred of Sehwag in Multan which was the most hostile country to play. The Aussies will never forget the hammering Sehwag gave in Adelaide where he made a rare 198

btw just as an aside i would like to mention that dhoni too was successful in that tour in tests and odis and one of the main reason for the odi series win...but many of you write in glowing terms if other batsmen played there and say hostile conditions and what not....but when it comes to dhoni his innings are dismissed as made in asian tracks....doublespeak huh?

go check dhoni's scores in those series in tests and odis in the same ''hostile'' conditions that sehwag made his triple ton...you remember sehwag 300 but do you remember dhoni making a 100 in the same hostile conditions in tests when half the side was in the pavilion and our team was in danger in the test...same in the odis series...just go check ...
