The impact of sachin phenomenon can not be felt in recordbook (ofcource records will be there)..but we dont have any other player with such a phenomenon.Great legend,player,human. Why ppl wasting time to compare him with Anand,Dhyanchand..all are great in their respective area. Govt can not given 3 bharatrant at a shot. So need patinece ,govt will surely honour all of them.Anand is still playing, so he has some time yet. And after getting new govt,they will honur Dhyanchand. TV channels just blowing for TRP
if Anand has not played chess.. then india never had a world champion in chess in any category... we never had won asian games gold medals and other international medals in chess.. we never got a chance to organise world championship.. no Oscar awards to indian in chess, chess won't become part of curriculum... we wont have highest no. of rated chess player in the world.. we wont have dozens of gms in india.... but, if sachin had not played cricket.. still we have won as many world cup as we have today.. still corporates would be looting public money in the name of IPL.. we might have won few lesser matches...

we cannot compare Annad vs sachin, scahin played cricket 7 nation game, Dhoni proved how silly game it is..he proved how Bangladesh , pak, srelanka winning WorldCUp..we don't have any alternative, cannot compaptive real mainstream games thus why wh comple to follow,cricket like bngaladesh, pak, sreelanka..
I think the Award should have given to Sunil Gavaskar & Kapil , in those days they were great . Also , many Great Persons in India are there who have contributed to Country , those persons would have given & not Sachin

do u understand anything above cricket... congress govt gifted BR to its MP .. ignoring best sportsperson of india, Dhyanchand from past and Vishy Anand from present era..
It is appropriate Award given to a cricket legend, who is a role model of cricket. He has contributed enormously to Indian Cricket. His place for indian Cricket could not be replaced. Sachin is too young to give Bharata Ratna Award . He has done his job in Cricket & got huge amount of money too , but not a great achievement .
Many persons like great singers Mr SP balasubramaium, Asha, Film stars like Dilip Kumar , Amitab have not got the award .
By luck he has come up . He too also got many Zero's !!
