Cricket crazed nation

It's now official. These indian awards have finally lost all value. Just like the nobel, when it was awarded to obama few years ago. Now, does it entitle him for a few more duty free luxury automobiles and tax exceptions. If this guy has any humility, he should humbly refuse it.

Sachin is one oof the most leech guy ever in Team India. Look at the way he left cricket, shamelessly played for records only, never failed to missed an opportunity of Tax Evasion. But this makes him fully entitle to become member of corrupt COngress and thus awarded BR.

but Dyanchand is not part of the greater scheme of things, so to speak. The BCCI, IPL, 20/20 ICC, congis, elections, etc.

Agreed, given the resource and fame this cricketers enjoy. Its sad that Dhyan Chand didn't deserve it. No value for Bharat Ratna at all.

Shame on congress for votebsnk politics motivated action.

and even more shameless of Sachin to accept.
earning 1000s of crores by being a professional is just one reason enough for disqualification

Dear Sachin do you think you deserved this great honour. It decreases the value or the Bharat Ratna. There were better people who deserved it.What did Sachin did for indian cricket except meeting personal records. He is never a team player.

Mr Rao , while you talk of Major Dhynachand , Do you know the achievements of Balbir Singh Sr, under whom india has three Olymic gold medals .He is true Legend of the Indian Hockey and deserves Bharat Ratna more then Dhyanchand. I feel you do not about hockey much.
