Embarassement
by Adarsh Deshmukh on Dec 31, 2014 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

His Captaincy records in the last few years had been under intense scrutiny of BCCI coupled with the fact that the strain of playing all forms of cricket was also slowly eroding his "Cool Captain" tag due to sporadic bouts of irritation with media, particularly on this Austrailan tour when in slip of tongue said there was "Dressing room unrest" and then added in sarcastic and dismissive vein that the two players in contention were at each others throat.

This may have probably annoyed and embarrassed the BCCI in the midst of one more loosing series which put the proverbial final nails on the coffin.

dhoni won number one slot as he managed to get work done even from fab 4 but after winning world cup celeberations honeymoon tour were on cards Sachin unnecessarily did not retire after world cup victory so there is insubordination problem in team no player listen to poor coach who is running from hotel room to another hotel room to ask Indians wake up from 31st mood and practice for test match but some players are enjoying honeymoon like ajinkya rahane some like dhoni on second honeymoon some like virat are in pre marital honeymoon to celebrate pk grand success so the princes of BCCI have very little time for practice

I have a feeling that Dhoni will retire before the WC 2015. All those who were against him go ahead and find a WK who can bat. Good luck in your search

Actually thats the next biggest problem India will have in future.. the first one being having a set of bowlers with lack of commitment, and they also must have contributed to his retirement from Tests.

All these years, he was playing triple role as WK, Batsman, and Captain... now its very, very difficult to replace someone with all these skills.

Atleast can we get a WK, who is also a good batsman.. ????? pch..!!

The Best Ever Wicket Keeper Batsman India Ever had in any format and also one of the Best Wicket Keeper Batsman The Cricket Ever had in ODIs.

The reason for premature retirement might be (even though I did challenged my friend who is an ardent fan of Dhoni that, he wont play a single Test after Aus Series. But I am really shocked to hear this before the completion of the ongoing series)

The over aggression by some of the players in the team, which is not his way of playing. Some players carried away too much. Very sad to say it looks like the success went to their Head. The difference in opinions has started.

by them way Gutsy Decision. Thank you for your service to Indian Cricket.

Congratulations to Captain Cool. U retired just when u improved your away record. In none of your previous visits to England, Australia, SA u cud manage to draw a test match. Always losing 4-0 or 3-0 resulting in brown washes. This is first time u prevented a brown wash, so u r leaving just when u started to improve your away record.

Coward!!!

Why did you leave the team halfway? Either you shouldn't have played 2nd and 3rd test or could have completed the 4th test and then quit. You are a coward!!
