ex-cricketers like Ravi are good for nothing.They get hefty pay package and many facilities from bcci and in return they do not deliever anything.can somebody explain it to me what is the role of a team director? we alteady have all coaching and support staff but it must'nt be enough that bcci had to create one more job called team director.This so called director is poking his nose in matters like team composition and other team matters during play which should be left alone to the captain.this team director is creating rift between the team members and thus damaging the team's performance.
Speaking vague. Admit that India don't have quality bowlers and shameless ex-cricketers like him have done nothing to sort that out. How will things get automatically sorted out in 12 months?
I think he is probably referring to give 15-16 months time for the batsmen and they will become good.
The problem is, he is looking at the wrong stuff. Batting is not an issue at the moment. It is not our weakness. In 15-16 months batting might become even more better but not good enough to win matches just with batting
Bowling is the problem. The current bowlers are already experienced. Giving them another 15-16 months time isn't going to do anything good.
So Shastri doesn't really have any long term plan or strategy. His vision appears to be flawed.

I concur with ur views.Shastri speaks non sense when he said"score does not matter"it is infact the score matters in any format of cricket match and that the INDIAN team is not good enough to face teams like Aus and England.I feel Virat and Shastri are on the same page when it comes to COMMENT on or off the field.Ravi should educate Virat how to behave like a gentleman and not be a RUSTIC.The same Shastri would have lauded if Indian team had gone ahead of Aussies.To say give 12 mts time and the team will perform is rubbish and does not make sense.It is now or never.But as everyone knows,u win or lose,the players get BIG money and all comforts in and out of INDIA Further Shastri says the team batted well in Brisbane.What is the use when u do not win.Failure should be accepted w/o excuses and reasons.Ex masters like Sunni/Sourav/avid et all make comments but fail to groom the new entrants in test matches.Ravi Shastri is helpless and thus making silly comments.
Don't understand what Mr Shastri want to say here because i heard him and Mr Manjherekar saying same thing after we lost in England that at that time give this team time of 6 months and we will start winning matches outside India also.
