The Aussies' criminal ancestry showed clearly when they started sledging and polluted the game. Others including Indians have followed suit and the game has turned into a WWF kind of a dirty competition. Sledging should be banned altogether. IC should start taking the Aussies first, then others. Every player should have a mic attached to their collars to record exactly what they say and anything said beyond the civil code should be penalized heavily. IC should try to bring back to the game the glory and civility it has lost due to the Aussies.
Cricket is known as Gentleman's game but from quite a long time certain players have set a very bad example. It has happened several times.
Sport is for entertainment. Now a days in most of the sports, bad gestures, verbal abuse, physical abuse has become a common dirty tactics. As per me ban the ones permanently from playing who initiates such cheap and dirty tricks .
It can certainly lead to some wonderful performances, provided, it does not disrupt your skill level or rhythm. If you lose match after match as India does overseas, it only means, you have let the other team's sledging work for them. Indians are young, emotional and quite immature as their performance changes from a session to session. Some sessions their talent comes through and in some sessions they play as if they are sleep walking. Is it all due to sledging ?
looking at past series in australia..india had many chances to win.but just drew or lost. so if you look at quantity of such events, then you can say india has some problem..and its not sledging thats the problem. this bad showing is not like the english series in which india was comprehensively beaten. the tail and steven smith seem to beat india.otherwise india should have won
cricket is no more a gentleman's game-it is gamble and full of dirt with huge money. it is very difficult to find players like courtney walsh and garfield sobers to name few but there are no players worth to be named from australia, england who capable of being certified as 'gentlemen' - at best the whole game is reduced to 'might is right' at any cost. no team like to accede defeat.

u r right only india has gentlemen like harbhajan yuvraj and the likes, honestly besides sachin i don't find any one worth calling a gentleman in the indian team
Sledging is an Australian way of playing cricket, they have mastered that act. If we have also made that as a practice and it is benefiting our style of playing cricket too, then so be it. After all what matter is to win the matches for the country.

Man if a team can win because of sledging then just goes to show the opponent are daisies or pansies, even at cllege level in any sport there is aggression ,its part of the game and dont pretend as if indians are big saints
