Dhoni as test captain
by Animesh Das on Dec 27, 2014 01:27 PM

1. Unimaginative
2.Rigid with plans
3.Does not communicate with bowlers
4.Does not have a plan B
5.Lets the game drift away
6.Too defensive
7.Inconsistent with field placing
8.Scores a 50 after 10 innings
9.Pathetic with the glove

And still some fo00ls consider him as best captain!! Shame really

WHAT ELSE YOU EXPECT
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Dec 24, 2014 09:07 PM

Bank balance is hundred or thousand of times more .My friend told this he met an Indian test player who was standing in second class local train at one time which he felt so miserable and offered his seat .They played because of passion and pride to represent India .Today expect non sense talk of pride to play for Indian -it is IPL and bank balance nothing else

IPL

The day our people realize that they are wasting money on these IPL "fixed" games, stop buying tickets and going to the stadium, these players will realize that they have to start becoming honest with the game and the public. Once all this is stopped, these players will fall in line. Let people watch it from the comforts of their respective homes on TV. What's the big deal? Are all of us going to Australia to watch these matches? No. So, once the public starts boycotting such matches and events, the players and franchisee owners and organizers will learn a lesson. They will start betting on "whether there will be any spectators in the stadium or not"...right?

The problem with people like you is portrayed correctly in McKenna's Gold. Only U should become rich and not others. That has been the mentality of some who say IPL is corrupting cricketers. anti-social elements are sponsoring movies and you spend 1000 rs on those copied idiotic movies like New Year and Chennai Express but have problems with genuine scripts like PK. And you like Australian cricket which treats us like slaves and dislike IPl which is our very own and for two months of cable money you have 2 months of high class entertainment. You can sit at home and not watch TV, but we will certainly support India and will also watch the game.

Nothing to reveal
by neha enterprise on Dec 24, 2014 06:38 PM  | Hide replies

The authors is using only statistics to show the data, but he is not revealed anything which precisely says Dhoni is failed in overseas test, if we do have the statistics data we could also put the fact, but the author is not pin pointing why Dhoni is failing , This does not gel with the theme of the subject

Power of Dhoni & Co.
by lee on Dec 24, 2014 04:11 PM  | Hide replies

How can we even think of having Dhoni removed ? When his name cannot be officially revealed as Match Fixer in IPL even when Supreme court has found him in Mudgal report, just imagine how much backup and diplomaic power has he got. Dhoni is so powerful that when he will retire he can make his deputy Jadeja as Test captain and poor Indians have to accept that as well. India is not England or not Australia that is why why India is still a 3rd world country.

Lee, you are right. India is still rated a 3-rate 3rd world country...just because of a few termites in the Indian team.....

Virat should be made captain immedaitely for rest of 02 tests
by RajendraKumar Brahma on Dec 24, 2014 10:55 AM

Just look at the exampple set by England board to remove cook from ODI captainship. Dhoni has led team india to win world cups but that does not imply to continue him as Test Captain despite of several test defeats at overseas.
Make Virat as skipper, he will rather get motivated & deliver the wonders. how he did in first test. in Every aspect of life motivation does play a crucial role. see the case of smith of Australia. how he has been so consisitence. We need to have a paradigm shift for test performance improvements

Dhoni's failure
by mohan krishna on Dec 24, 2014 10:52 AM  | Hide replies

I guess if dhoni had taken along Meiyappan and some of his India Cements group, we could have won both the tests in Australia. Meiyappan would have "negotiated" with the Aussies like he does in IPL for CSK against all opposition teams.

You are absolutely right. The first IPL final between CSK and Mumbai Indians was fixed in favour of CSK. The last World Cup in India was also fixed; Sri Lanka celarly gave the match away.

And we are such fools that we believe CSK actually wins matches by sheer effort and not Dhoni's and "meiyappan's "connections." People still waste a lot of hard earned money to go and watch such "dhonied" and "meiyappaned" matches in IPL. People can at least spend that money on some good food, clothes, and toys for their children instead of wasting money of these "fixed" matches. So what will the captains and owners of franchisees do to earn "an extra buck?" ....fix the fixture....People, like fools, purchase tickets double, treble, or even 20 times the actual rate of a ticket and watch these dirty games..such is our mindset!
