Why to Compare
by Marwin Joe on Dec 23, 2014 02:44 AM

I dont understand why our media start comparing current players to some of the greats of all time when they have not even played 1/4th of the game played by them. let them play for some time and then they will make name for themselves. I believe comparing them creates a pressure or they start feeling like they are top of the world which result in there failure.

comparison of Pujara to Veteral Dravid
by srirama chandra rao on Dec 22, 2014 09:55 PM

It does not serve any good for young Pujara for comparing him with great Rahul Dravid. For that matter we are not supposed to compare any youngster with stalwarts as they have achieved success after playing a long innings. It will be too early to compare. It is not fair for those veterans also to be compared with the new entries.

Secret of R Dravid
by Dancarter on Dec 22, 2014 09:33 PM  | Hide replies

R Dravid never lifts his bat to hit the ball hard..instead uses the pace of the ball and flick it only.. and people speak great of him.. he is not an attacking batsman.. check his games he loses his wicket when he try to attack the baller..

When 90% of rest of world has fast bowlers why do you need spend your energy in attacking them, instead of using their pace intelligently. Gavaskar, Vishwanath were not attacking players, but they played and scored well against pace bowlers. Do whatever you do perfectly, understand your limitations. That is what these batsmen did. So blame their methods?

Stop comparing Pujara with Dravid so soon
by RAJENDRA on Dec 22, 2014 07:28 PM  | Hide replies

Pl stop highlightinhg Rahul Dravid's achievements espcially where Pujara is concerned. Dont judge him so soon. Give him spacedand time. He has all the attributes - like patience, technique etc - to fill the spot vacated by 'The Wall".

A SENSIBLE APPROACH
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Dec 22, 2014 06:46 PM  | Hide replies

Do not judge and name people based on performance in India alone for that matter include Sri Lanka and Bangladesh .See the performance in England ,Australia and South Africa .WI is nothing much to talk about .That leaves Pakistan with whom we should not play at all . Make judgements after two or three tours .WE in India have this habit of passing judgements too soon and then start questioning the same .
