Overseas tail- a Major problem for Indian captain
by on Dec 19, 2014 05:19 PM

Dhoni has a bit of a brain freeze when it comes to handling tail. He does not set the right field and he can not get his bowlers to bowl the right line or length.
The man is a big disappointment. A major flaw in his leadership in test matches.

India's failure to take the tailenders wickets
by srirama chandra rao on Dec 19, 2014 01:30 PM  | Hide replies

It is very sad that Indian bowlers succeeded to take top order wickets but failed to take the lower order batsmen wickets allowing them to score more than 250 runs after six wickets have fallen for 257. It allowed Australia to acquire strong control over the test at this stage

Very unimaginative bowling from the Indian Bowlers. Not many yorkers were tried and they kept giving the batsmen halfvolleys. Very disappointing. I thought we really had a chance to put some pressure on them. Now it is gone and we are fighting to save the test. With 2 days to go, another loss for India is very likely unless otherwise we bat solidly throughout to'ow and score some brisk runs.

Simple. None of the bowlers ever mastered their yorkers and even swing. Bhuvi is missed. Kapil always wound up the tail faster for India in 80's and 90's.

Mastered bowling ???? what a cruel joke ? just before the start of the series, someone closely related to the team had said that this was the best bowling attack India will ever have. Now, their performance is not even up to club (street clubs) quality, they do not know how to get the batsmen out, no plan to trap even the tail enders (the wickets fell were all due to error of batsmen and not because of any quality bowling I guess)...so, with that bunch, I do not think we would be able to retain the WC...

According to shameful Ishant Sharma, this is the best bowling attack India will be has. Wonder what he has to say now that all "best" bowlers aacording to him scored "Centuries"!!! Even after playing international cricket for more than 10 years there is not an iota of improvement from this guy. And Ashwin, playing more because of lobbying than talent, says you've to be more accurate while playing in Australia and wait for the batsman to make mistake! Somebody tell him tha had Shane Warne focussed on accuracy and hope that batsman will make mistakes rather than aggressively looking for wickets, he wouldn't have had been as successfull as he is said o be and as his stats prove. No words to describe this shoddy performance.
