At the end of first Test, we see 2 distinct performers from India - Murali Vijay and Virat Kohli. People talk about Indian team chances to go for a win at lunch when India was 200 odd for 2. It refers that Both have strong front and back foot work and play the ball as late as possible, which happend out to be the key. Now its time to bring the same to Other Batsman include Pujara, Dhawan,Rahane and Rohit.In my personal prespective,Dhawan can be rested for this series and put Rohit Sharma in to opening slot. If he is able to make a mark, bring Ashwin in place of Karn and Dhoni in place of Saha who can make a difference in batting.As everyone knows Worldcup is coming up and India needs to make use of these matches in understanding the conditions and give tough fight for aussies to make sure they are competitive enough.I still remember when India came closer to a Win in Sydney, Brett lee told ,come to WACA Perth,We see you there, India proved they went on top of it and won the game ,First win in PERTH on world's fastest Pitch ,made people believe that we can win.Bcoz of excellent Footwork and application VVS scored Centuries in Australia.Its now time for young team to follow suit. One small suggession to Virat, If you are losing Wickets ,try to be patient and play safe rather than going for a win.When you lose 2 or 3 wickets in a clutch,start scoring runs in singles ,put the opposition in junx and put pressure on them.Similar to chase 300 odd when your team is 50 odd for 3.
we should remember gavaskar advising tendulkar that he would be sad if he did not end the career without 100 centuries.he should have advised him to score runs for winning the matches instead of personal milestones.hope shastri as consultant would be different .
but when you are playing the world cup we need dhoni who has handled pressure well.Ravi sastriji, please do not put your ego before the country and make kohli the world cup captain. we will never forgive you

Only the opposition will appreciate your efforts in a losing cause. No wonder Aussies have appreciated Kohli while Gavaskar did not. Kohli should have mixed aggression with defence. Pure aggression is as harmful as is pure defence. Due to this flaw in Kohli's captaincy RCB have never been able to win IPL despite being a super team. I think after Rohit got out India should have played for a draw. But may be, Kohli thought a win will be a feather in his cap while a defeat will be Dhoni's burden.

Cricket is a team game, but we have to accept he led his team successfully.
And there were important contributors for success, like Yuvraj who was 'player of the series', Sachin who was 2nd highest run getter in the tournament after Dilshan. Also we can't forget the innings of Gautam Gambhir in Finals, when he scored 90 ..
Winning a single match could happen with an individual performance, but its not so far in WC since its inception..
