It's very surprising that Indian media & experts are still very hopeful & showing faith on a captain who has lost most of the out side series although in past he has all time greatest player in his team but he was able to handle them & because of politics towards senior players he lost these series.at present India went there with a team who is looking like a club cricket team so there is no hope at all.....
I think it is better to continue with the original thiught of handing over the captaincy to Virat in the first test and give more rest to Dhoni before he comes back for second test so that Virat can be tested for his captaincy . He is mentally prepared for the challenge of leading the side since a month or so. So is the case with Saha. Let him play his first test as wicket keeper

I'm with you SriRam Ji.. Your thoughts on cricket indicate that you are a knowledgeable fan..
I've some difficulty deciphering your name.. Can I jus call you SriRam ji or even Ram..
In the last 20 years, India are the only team to have won more Tests than they have lost against Australia, winning 16 and losing just 14. England also have 16 wins in this period, but they lost 30 Tests.
Even against the dominant Australia sides of the 2000s led by Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting, India had a creditable record, winning nine Tests and losing nine. Every other team lost at least twice as many Tests as they won.

How many of these tests has India won in Australia under Dhoni as captain?

Most of those 16 wins came under Ganguly's captaincy.. Of course he had Laxman and Dravid (Tingu too)..
But Dhoni is a loser, I don't know why you are so obsessed with dhoni, Peks..
What's wrong if Kohli is blooded in the longer version?

no mike most of those 16 wins have come under dhoni's captaincy...ganguly record against aus 3 wins 3 draws and 3 loss...dhoni record against aus 11 tests 8 wins 3 loss...he did not lose 4-0 against aus but 3-0 ...last tests sehwag was captain because dhoni was banned for one test for slow bowling rate of indian bowlers...
D. Goel pkl., afternoon Sunday 7th December 2014 ,2 PM It isgenerally welcome development that on 9th Tuesday next MSDhoni would join ViratKohli's side fro Adelaide' ensuing Test match. Of course Australiansareformidable players on their own homePitch. successive indian teamshave been smothered often by theirgreat Power-Play. one can only wish that past record does not depress indians down -Under D.Goel
