Message has just arrived that Phillip Hughes has hit a fantastic chance-less classic double century in the 1st innings in Ashes test against England in the paradise. His score out caught Colin Crowdrey, bowled Trueman- 238.

Now what is in store for the Indian team ?
by piri on Dec 03, 2014 11:24 PM  | Hide replies

They are probably going to go into the first test as any other Indian team has done on a tour abroad - slow off the blocks and almost invariably crashing to defeat.

Whereas the Australians could very well be determined and focussed already and may come into the first test with cries to each other such as "This one is for Hughesy", "Let us do it for him, mates", "To Hughesy and to his memory"..................

If India bats on the first morning in Adelaide, 4 or 5 wickets down before lunch can be easily visualised !

His Spirit might still be around
by lax yopr on Dec 03, 2014 11:08 PM

After a person dies, his/her spirit lingers around for sometime, before they embark on their journey.
Maybe/most probably Clark was present at the ceremony and heard his mourners.
But he will move on.
This earth is for humans, not their spirits.

Once people die, they won’t see any ceremony of their death
by Kanu Singh on Dec 03, 2014 10:34 PM

May be it’s just alive people trying to console themselves that they cared for the departed person, and trying to face the truth that cared person is not going to be with them again.

If a tragic accidents happens, then may be people should try to learn from those accidents so that others might not have to face same tragedy.

There is a lot of news round the year about Cricket players breaking their bones with b a11 hit and may be just due to probability, occasionally few incidents becomes fatal.

I think they should seriously consider replacing the leather surface with a rubber surface on b a11, it will still hit and create pain but it will not hit players like a dangerous rock.

If people start getting killed in a Sport then I start feeling guilty and get confused whether to watch it or not, as watching it might be considered encouraging blood sport.

I don’t worry much about establish tradition, culture, rules, religion or whatever, me think tradition, culture, rules, religion extra are made for benefit of individuals and Society, people are not born to be sacrificed for them.

please understand that people who were affected by the 26/11 attacks took months to recover. This is an incident which happened with people around him. Would you play if something like this happened to your family member !!!

Why Not
by dan on Dec 03, 2014 11:52 AM  | Hide replies

Why not play cricket with tennis ball. It would be more entertaining and best of all no fear of ball hitting any part of the body plus getting rid of all extravagant body covering gears.
