Everliving Cricketer

Philip Hughes is really a blessed soul to die while he was playing the game that he is passionate about. He will be remembered forever more than the players who have reached great heights in the game. He will be an everliving cricketer in the cricket history.

Why
by Sandhurst Rhode on Dec 04, 2014 05:55 PM

OK why is there a 5ardarji at this funeral service?!

Does he not know that only Indians understand 5ardarji jokes and find them funny?!

If this is his attempt to relieve people of their grief by being a living embodiment of a 5ardarji joke, then this is a very, very bad idea!

Remember

Still remember when Raman Lamba died under almost identical circumstances in 1998.

He was in the news for barely two days and then everything was forgotten like nothing had happened.

But one white guy dies on the field and it is the end of the world!

The reaction of the Australian and white media to this tragedy is understandable but why does the Indian media have its unmentionables in a bunch over this incident?!

every now and then people die of various causes..its their stature in life that gives the importance..news, media all are revolving around prominent personalities and events..phil hughes was way more prominent than Raman Lamba..im not degrading any one..a life lost is a life lost..but don't see a point comparing such things..also the presence and influence of media is way more than that time..our commenting here itself is a proof to that.

This should be interesting ..... please explain how Hughes "was way more prominent than Raman Lamba"?

Because he was Australian or because he was white?!

Presence and influence of the media is more now?

How do you figure that?

Having the ability to comment on a public forum is a symptom of greater "presence and influence of [the] media"?

Again, it is quite appropriate for the Australian media to do what it is doing with coverage of this tragedy but why is the Indian media going pr1mate-excrement with it?!

Thats b'coz Aussie players are a united group and they have done everything possible to express their grief and solidarity to their deceased team mate - such is their bonding off the field also, unlike our players - who are individualistic/self centered/selfish and not a great bunch outside the field; it was more so during Raman Lamba's days...which is sad, but a true fact.

Media reports what it sees...look at the distraught face of the Aussie players..their comments..the emotions/upheaval that they are going thru and how they have articulated it....Tell me, how did the Indian players react after the tragedy on Raman Lamba?

TRUTH
Re: Remember

the blame should goes to us indian and not the white...appreciate the whites..they shows what unity is and how to love their fellow bothers..we always envy our blood brothers in the form of black, white, jat, bhramin, dalit, south india , north india, tamil , bihari etc. etc. we never unit as a country, we always see ..minority, majority, resevation etc. so if we ourselves do not like or give inportance how u think others will give importance, we make gandhis family, thcakrey family, pawar family, yadav family our idol. And thats why today is our situation..anyhow still time is there..follow the great Modiji.and first try to love one India and indians...only

Though there were many news channels in 1998, the news hasn't spread or rather discussed so much as it is now being done using Facebook, Whatsapp etc. Though there is much hue and cry of Hughes' death, time will convert even this incident into history. Remember, the phase of Tendulkar's retirement, the nation was almost in mourning. But, people have moved on...

Mourning!!
I guess most were celebrating Tendulkar's retirement. He had become a liability to the team.

There was no internet access for everyone that time, no facebook, no whatsapp, no twitter, no viber. The world has become a global village now. Don\'t be a racist
