The time is right for Duncan Fletcher to leave. The coach has the poorest track record in India's cricket history. Indian team will be a winner even without a coach like Fletcher. He is not John Wright or Gary Kirsten.
After the humiliation in the tests finally we scored a win thanks to suresh raina. Hope others will learn from him. Apart from raina, rohit and dhoni none of the batsman flourished. Bowlers bowled well as there were ample runs on board. Still along way to go. Bring back sehwag and Yuvraj for the world cup. Cheers
(contd.)Spinners bowling in Tandem virtually hijacked the game to bring it to a clinical finish depriving the pacers of their full quota! Sir jadeja is back in his elements and Ashwin too seem to be gradually learning to exploit overseas conditions well! Dhoni must remove his blinkers about spinners being not too effective in overseas conditions after their seven wickets share! Karan Sharma is also there and they could add one more spinner to the WC squad , that is four spinners in the kitty with 2 playing and 2 on the bench anytime! Dhoni should not worry about what Mike Hussey says. Actually the Aussies are scared of the Indians and would not hesitate to play games. India’s best bowling combo for a win are 3 pacers and 2 spinners in all conditions! Next, the batting took the 3rd position with likes of Dhawan and Virat Kohli failing yet again !Even Rohit and Rahane got out to soft dismissals. They need to change their attitude and Ravi Shastri should address this issue seriously.So batting does need further improvement for sure. Virat Kohli trying to hit himself out of trouble is negative approach. He should believe in himself and show more character !

This is one of the fantastic inning by Raina. I love that.
When everyone was praying for Rain to come to rescue of team India Raina came instead with his brilliant century giving India a facile 133runs win!A cheap dismissal of Raina and the Tests misery could have prolonged ? Could have been but the entire team rose to the occasion to register the much needed emphatic win. Dhoni himself playing his usual gutsy innings with Raina which actually prevented a repeat of batting collapse seen in Tests.Although England could still make a comeback should Capt Dhoni go defensive as he did after the Lord’s win. However after this win the Indians are in much better frame of mind to be confident to take on the English. The fielding and catching was simply top notch and wonder what had brought such sudden transformation ? The bowling was the 2nd best deptt.with both pacers and spinners scoring over their English rivals who were mysteriously ineffective !Md. Shami was scratchy to start with but soon settled into a good rhythm of line and length to give the initial break throughs. B kumar bowled well for his one wicket but he does look tired and exhausted.He needs to be rested. Mohit Sharma though w/o wicket but bowled couple of unplayable deliveries and looked to be best suited to the English conditions! May be next 3 games would tell us if he should have played the Tests !
