Gavaskar rightly told "Whatever you do, people will question you", just that even morons with no knowledge of cricket raise questions, is indigestible!!!

BCCI found a scapegoat to cover up legendary failures....
by K Ram on Aug 19, 2014 10:03 PM

I do not know why? from the day he was selected coach, poor Fletcher had to face only brickbats all along. When the team did well, he was conveniently ignored while others took the credit. Does anyone here honestly think, any coach leave alone Duncan, can control the likes of Virats, Jaddus, Ashwins and Dhonis? Coach, for his own survival needs to turn a blind eye and spare these legends to do whatever they like, the way they like. It's the players who need to be dealt strongly with after all, they are the ones who perform and are responsible for the team's showing.

Now that they found scapegoat, the likes of Virats and Pujaras will heave a sigh of relief and the BCCI would happily feel, it took a corrective action and the problem was addressed.

I really do not understand, how certain people (dummy legends) are persisted with despite repeated failures while some others like Badri are judged by mere 3 innings and axed despite scoring a 50 in one of them? I bet, Unmukt Chand with an average of 36 (against, HP, J&K, Services) will get his break earlier than Baba Aparajit with a healthy first class average of 52 (against much better opposition). That's how, cricket is running here. Mera Bharat Mahaan!

Duncan Fletcher

If Duncan Fletcher has anything like self respect he should quit right now, I mean before the start of ODI series in England so that Shastri and company can take decisions with out any feeling of embarrasment

If Virat has any self respect and love for his nation, he should never hold a bat again!

Foreign Coach

Greg Chappel has damaged enough to Indian Cricket helping Australia, likewise Duncan has ruined the Indian team for helping England to get back their form. Shame foreign coaches. Bring Ganguly as India's COACH immediately.

Blame it on the Coach !
by b g on Aug 19, 2014 08:50 PM  | Hide replies

We Indians have a quick way out. Blame it on some one. Why don't we say that the team miscalculated the English side and the condition there. We did not play well. We were out done in all the departments of the game. Bad team composition, bad directions, and miscalculations. There is time to improve. Let us blame our team first than pointing finger at others.

Yes true the coach didn't play, experienced captain like DHONI failed completed in his strategy, if India had won he would have been applauded not DUNCAN FLETCHER, this is INDIAN mentality...
