After all such 3rd rate captaincy Dhoni has the cheek to say he has done enough ! evidently now we will have to wait for the Mudgal panel report , the contents of the sealed envelope containing dozen names , SC order etc. to know if Indian Test team could be salvaged still ! Main problem with Dhoni is unlike earlier captains like Gavaskar, Ganguly,Sachin etc. this man has too many off-field non-cricketing commercial interests, commitments, part in factional cricket politics and so on for him to function as a an able Test captain. Question is given the circumstances can Dhoni lead Test team to Australia ? NO.

And most of the time they keep playing football instead of doing catching practice !Why do you need such a large contingent of support staff for playing football ? “..wait and watch......to the depths I can take Indian Test team to...and still BCCI wouldn’t dare to touch me ….”… is possibly what Dhoni actually wanted to say…!It is not surprising that as captain he is not very off the mark on the analysis part…the causes of the debacle…from batting failure…to openers not clicking ..to ……inexperience..to new to English conditions.. bowlers being different from the English…to Bhuvi’s tiredness by 5th test…..except about himself when asked if he had done enough as captain..he says …”may be yes”..!Really Mr Dhoni, if so then clearly even your best is not good enough for the Test team for over 3 yrs now with maximum overseas defeats of 13 tests..!The worst part is not just defeats but the margin of defeats…and the complete turn around of the English down in the pits with captain Cook on the verge of being sacked at Lord’s of the India’s historic win high to where India ultimately ended up down in the dumps….and you have cheek to say may be you have done enough..as Captain !Let there be no doubt that Dhoni needs to explain innumerable illogical moves and tactics applied throughout the series that proved disastrous ! Few samples :Even while Moen Ali was taking wickets in heaps why was Ashwin cooling his heels in the bench ? Even after he was picked why was he underbowled and a burnt out Bhuvi flogged ?
MSD no doubt showed good performance in past. He won T20 and one day world cup tornaments but he failed miserably in the recent test series in England. He failed to bring any improvement in batting, bowling and fielding of Indian team in complete series. How come all players fail and that too in matches after matches. It appeared that our test team in England gave up the series without any fight. If MSD deserved aplaud for his past succeses, he also deserved criticism for his total failure. Does he think that his excellent relation with BCCI boss will save his captainship???
I’m not a fan of Dhoni - - BUT - - Cricket is a Team Event where only Team Work counts . Its not like Tennis or Badminton . No captain in the World can win matches if ALL your main Batsman are getting out on 10 – 20 runs OR your Bowlers are not taking wickets even after bowling 25 - 30 overs & your Fielders are dropping catches , even if your captain is excellent Team Leader , Great Motivator or very good Decision Maker . Should MSD score 300 in every innings OR remove his gloves & start bowling ??
Dhoni is the best captain after Kapildev. Now-a-days nobody interested in test cricket. So Dhoni may leave the captaincy of test cricket and the same may be given to better player like Kholi.At least he may avoid the blame game.
Dhoni is a good ODI captain but when it comes to building a team he is no where near Dada. Look at the players Dada has groomed-Zaheer, Viru, Yuvi, Bhajji.. all match winers. Dhoni won 2 world cups with the help of them and taken all credit. Name a single match winning palyer Dhoni has groomed??? Where is Dhoni's fans hiding now????
