once India was strong in test cricket, but with the retirement of sachin, dravid, laxman, dada, kumble, zaheer we are left with players without any technique..

Indian cricket must do too many things
by Varadarajan Ravindran on Aug 14, 2014 12:01 AM

Indian cricket must pay all cricketers uniformly well at different levels. They over-pay people like Tendulkar and Dhoni and ignore geniuses like Gavaskar and Vishwanath or Borde and Pataudi. So much so, Indians have stared to acquire money through greed without showing any substantial results.
The cricket borad should also promote competition among batsmen and bowlers and not promote the same people even of they do not deliver. They must promote bowlers with high pace levels and do away with line-and-length bowlers. They must promote spinners with lot of turn, bounce and accuracy. At present, the board is selecting the sycophants of earlier players or the so-called "worthless celebrities". The board must carefully watch the technique, intelligence, temperament and physique of players for proper grooming. The board must concentrate on improving the fielding standards considerably as dropped catches lose matches and spectacular catches win matches. The board must not employ useless foreign coaches because they are Caucasians or Christians; Coaches must be selected purely on merit and performance records.

I think anyone who follows Indian cricket is aware of this fact, nothing new about it.

Its gross wrong Cricket to blame.
by Neville coelho on Aug 13, 2014 02:18 PM

Most of us are saying foreign conditions did us in ... but my argument is - How Englishmen n Aussies who are used to playing in swinging conditions get used to Indian dust bowls and make us stretch, if not win in india ??
Similarly, a little more application and hard-work and applying ur brain in ur play will go a long way in making India push-overs internationally. Coaching staff, lack of practise, advertisements, money, girls are all the reasons why Indian players are lagging behind.
