Its gross wrong Cricket to blame.

Most of us are saying foreign conditions did us in ... but my argument is - How Englishmen n Aussies who are used to playing in swinging conditions get used to Indian dust bowls and make us stretch, if not win in india ??
Similarly, a little more application and hard-work and applying ur brain in ur play will go a long way in making India push-overs internationally. Coaching staff, lack of practise, advertisements, money, girls are all the reasons why Indian players are lagging behind.

India is not a sporting nation
by Kunal Dar on Aug 13, 2014 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

I know lot of ppl will disagree with this assessment, but its a reality check as we don't have the will, desire & pride to be become a sporting nation despite a pool of hugely talented ppl.The whole system needs some overhauling with serious infusion of political will, govt. & corporate money, international exposure, scientific training methods and a realistic timeline to achieve targets.......

Make sweeping changes
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Aug 13, 2014 01:23 PM  | Hide replies

We did well abroad only under Wadekar and Rahul Dravid in WI and England. Recently in SA and NZ we fluffed easy chances for wins by awful cricket. In doing so we made heroes of people like du Plessis and McCullum. The team simply did not have the aggressive spirit to clinch these Tests.

This needs a more focussed and aggressive mentality which only intensive training and sessions by a psychologist can provide.

very well said, with rahul and vvs we made a strong impact last time we went to aus and eng losing 8 out of 8 tests! :)

these newcomers are very bad and it is useless to expect such results from them...on the contrary what they do is win against clarke's aus 4-0...very shameful! :)

We won a test in Lord's after 24 years..we need another 24 years to celebrate this win..what happens in between like rare win/frequent loss/rare draw/ abroad is not relevant..anyhow we are going to be roaring here at home on flat tracks and dust bowls..so please don't bother we are ok for another 24 yrs
