NOT SO GREAT IN THIS ENG TEAM
by Shilpa Mehta on Aug 13, 2014 11:38 AM  | Hide replies

There is nothing great in this ENG team . They lose with even bigger margins when they play on sub continent pitches . These Anderson , Broad & Mooen Ali gets brutal hammering on Indian wickets . ENG only wins in their own backyard .
( Barring last India tour )
Their Batsman cannot face lethal spin Indian attack in India . Team India is losing due to their own mistakes , Its not that ENG is very strong team . Teams like Lanka & PAK defeated them recently in ENG .

Indian players are over-paid
by Varadarajan Ravindran on Aug 13, 2014 05:48 AM

Indian players are grossly over-paid incommensurate with their performance levels. Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid are no match to Mahela Jayawardhane,Kumar Sangakarra and Jacques Kallis in technique, consistency and performance. Dhoni is another over-paid player who is no Adam Gilchrist, Alex Stewart, Andrew Flower, or Adam DeVilliers in any way. The Indian cricket board is subsidizing huge pay-outs for average players. This approach will damage India's progress in cricket at international levels.

NO. NO ..
by pyarelal laxmikant on Aug 12, 2014 12:35 PM  | Hide replies

..They need not work on anything.

All play and no work will make the 'AngrezKeAulad' win the fifth test.

It will be a parting gift from Dhoni & Co in the test series & all his 18 men are working hard & busy.

Some are busy with their strategy on sight-seeing.
Some, making plans to explore the shops & malls.
Some concentrating on their WAG’s.
Some deeply involved in signing advertising contracts.
Some on planning to spend at least 2 days in exploring pubs & bars because they have taken an oath to complete the last test within 3 days too.

And they will surely succeed because of GOOD TEAMWORK

JaiHo !
:D

even if they play in half sleep, they'll win the next test notwithstanding our strong batting line up comprising of the best ever batsman in the world, Virat Kozhi...

Indians are a bunch of completely de-focused non-performers in this series. They are led by a money-hungry captain who does not deserve to be in the tam after two 4-0 whitewashes in England and Australia.

The Indian coach Duncan Fletcher is also a big "dodo" in technical and strategic competence. After he took over from Gary Kirsten the double and triple hundreds by Indian batsmen completely vanished. In comparison, Mahela Jayawardhane and Kumar Sangakarra had shown phenomenal progress, despite teh fact they are looking at their retirement. These legends must not retire as they light up the Test scene, whereas our Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid have been low achievers towards retirement. Indian players are spoiled by being paid too much money.

You are absolutely correct in your assessment. Indian players are so over-paid for their poor performance levels, we must be afraid that it will end up somewhat similar to enormous subsidies, paychecks, and rewards given to Black, Hispanic and other minorities in the United States. In most cases, the beneficiaries do not manifest commensurate performance levels. The same aspect will affect Indian cricket too. Indian players are mediocre and are paid well above the better performing foreign competitors.
