Our selectors always go wrong when picking up a team for a tour away from the sub-continent. Not including Umesh Yadav is one such example. Imagine if we had both Umesh and Varun bowling at tandem to the English batsmen. We know they are not good at playing Genuine fast bowlers.
Do not allow request to allow wifes, girl friends on tour. Give money on Runs scored by the Batsmans ie Rs 100.00 per run, applicable only if he cross 50 runs, recover minimum 1 crore they lose the match.
It is a typical day in cricket when things go horribly wrong inspite of the side doing everything right except for the implementation part. Yes, Dhoni for a change did everything right from playing XI to toss to the decision to bat to the captain courageous knock ably assisted by Ashwin to rescue the side from a hopeless situation. Dhoni who was under scrutiny and test both as a Test batsman and captain at the start of the series seems to have shown enough character to come out with flying colours while his more illustrious batsman colleagues failing miserably the acid test. It must be treated as a learning opportunity to bat under such difficult conditions of moving ball and negotiate the likes of Anderson, Broad etc. This is the only way to become world beaters and champs and the top order must show character to come back to make runs in the 2nd innings that could make all the difference. Dhoni who has led from the front so far must be feeling quite confident inspite of the side in a spot of bother to take on the battle with a positive frame of mind. England will be under tremendous pressure when they start their batting on the 2nd day.Dhoni will have to make the bowlers deliver to restrict the English around 200-220. (contd.)..The slip fielders have to be stationed at right distances to match the carry considering the bowling speed of likes of B/Kumar etc so that no catch goes abegging or falls short.
Consistent miserable failures of both these top start Indian batsmen is harming the team. It should not be long when selectors should think of replacement of both these batsmen in test team. Even if both have great reputation, but they simply don't contribute.

Correct, these are highly paid and do not score. Recover from them,because they play with India's pride
Present Indian team got exposed in absence of Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman. Players should understand difference betweem T20 & Test matches and also between playing in India and abroad. BCCI is only interested in making money and not in improving standard of players'

It happened during 2011 tour also when the big names were there. The issue is not about the players its more about BCCI preparing Test wickets at home. Ideally it should be like Mohali pitch at every test venue.
i just felt so embarrased looking at the match.it was raining ducks..ha ha ha. Special thanks to dhoni and ashwin to have a three digit score on the board.now the english will grind the indian bowlers to 2 to 4 days in the ground. Now we just have to see the remaining matches and get our self ashamed. Thats it..
