if gavaskar feels scoring 36 runs in 60 overs is the resistance, then we dont need such resistance...gavaskar like people killed cricket...now a days it is far better..since ganguly times things ar much better..
This pitch was just doing good for who ever batted first. playing 4th innings was just too difficult for anybody.. even india would have won if batted well on day1......
80% ppl know end of day 1 this match is not possible to win.... when you are playing a series you should look to carry momentum to next match spend time in the middle to so resistance to opposition.. thats a clever and quality and more importantly batsmen with passion only does it.
clearly india is unfortunate that kohli is out of form. only rahane is playing with heart and just doing what he can do not trying any more. not to mention rest of the team has any incident they did well outside india so why to expect more Gavaskar. its big loss for test fans!!!
Ashwin has been wicket less so many occations i would rather go with jadeja he also take wickets in second innings as pitch started doing well same is observed and Ali was employed to just jadeja did.
India lacks quality specialist spinner as this is already mentioned by bajji several times.. mishra, piyush, ashwin of same ranks what dhoni can do ??
although lucky to have some good spells from seamers but it was just not enough to win matches or draws except one.
I can say one thing Dhoni failed to build a successfull Test team as he was there for quite sometime.
Gavaskar-a distinguished legend of Indian Cricket must take initiative to bring Indian Cricket, its players and the board on right track.Greed for more money have prompted our board to go for more & more T20 & ODIs thereby completely ignoring test cricket.Off late we observe that every new entrant(player} starts his outing from T20 or ODI whereas it must be the other war round...A new budding cricketer must start his carrier from test cricket and must be pushed into the shorter version only after 3/5 years....Even at junior level-T20 and T50 must totally be scrapped..This will enable a (budding) batsman to generate patience and stick on to wicket, and will prompt a bowler to go for wickets..More money must be spent in unearthing good/new talents from remotest part of the country even if it amounts to reduce payment to International players....Consistency within a player must be developed...It is the longer format which enables a player to develop his skills and temprament.Hope Gavaskar agrees to it.

Gavaskar is the worst person for that job. During his playing days he never cooperated with captains , used to be very selfish,anti-team,non-sporting...these days players are much better after kapildev's coming..
shame on selectors why becos they cannot different players of T20 and odi's recklessers and impatiencers from Test durable patience dwellers ... .big shame
get this below your throat by hook or crook
DHONI is WORST TEST PLAYER and given his stigma for ODI and T20 fame ... he cannot withstand the test of TEST cricket. and shame on all those including Dravid who support dhoni's test captainship .... shame on all people like Dravid,
dhoni's batting style is a of an illiterate person trying to write an official letter.
dhawan, jaddu, rohit, dhoni, kohli these players are never meant for test class .. these are crazy T20 and odi buffoons.
if these players have some dignity and well wishing attitude for the country to win they should step down ...
the beautiful example of player thrown out of test cricket is Yuraj but then after lot of misfortunes for India's test record

then how did they win against australia and the first test in england...which even ur gavaskars and kapils have failed miserably...dont expect beyond ur capabilty
Don't know wt's the politics goin on for gambhir. He is a gud batsman... But Dhoni always give chances to his Chennai superking mates like Pankaj, Vijay and many more ......
Why no Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron??? We have in Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron among the fastest bowlers in the orld. I think it is extremely foolish not to play them in England.
