Dhobi

captain dhobi is a master of excuses when his team tastes defeat. We have seen it earlier in England, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

What about the Catches you drop. DRS or no DRS- both teams are victim of some bad decision, why only indian victims are highlighted. In short we played badly and the result shows that. Test cricket is not one day or T20. Talent only counts here

Guys I know, you don't like ppl voicing their opinion against DRS.

My point is you can condone a human mistake but a technological error can't be.

when Rohit was dismissed in the second essay, the snicko caught it but the hotspot gave no witness whatsoever..

similarly the hawkeye or the ball tracking system has NEVER been accurate..

Ppl talk about 75% decisions getting correct.

But one bad decision of a settled batsman trying to save/win the test could alter the result of the match..

So how good is DRS?

Regarding the debate
by subramanya balaji on Aug 01, 2014 02:02 PM  | Hide replies

I think the ideal debate should be " Should Dhoni continue as captain?". Why is Gambhir on the bench and why play people like shikar Dawan? As a captain there should be no like and dislikes for team mates.

Well said. Everyone is at fault except Dhoni and everyone is to be blamed except Dhoni.

Gambhir is in the bench because if he performs, he is acaptaincy threat to Dhoni like Dravid, Ganguly, Sehwag and Ganguly.

Dhoni should realize that in this Test England were at the receiving end of several more debatable decisions than India.

If we had taken DRS, Ian Bell was out leg before before he actually opened the account. He went on to score 160. It is really Baffling that one or 2 players/administrator just decide the fate of our cricket.

Even Gary Ballance was not out in both innings of 3rd test. DRS could have easily corrected it.

Even if there is flaw in the system..it applies equally to all. Don't know why India always protest.

Dhoni is a great politician of the game.He always sidelined those who may threat to his captaincy.Player like Rohit Sharma get chance but Gambhir sit in the bench.Very silly

Please tell me...I current situation..who can replace Dhoni..? I think Koholi's performance is worst in this series. Currently dhoni is the only one who is capable of the captaincy job. Why are you so egar to see Gambhir coming back ? just remember what he did in our last tour of England in 2011...on the other hand Dhawan had as great 2013. So it will not be good to drop him just after few failures.

Dear Mr.Ogale,If I take your argument then what is the point of taking Rohit Sharma in the playing 11.His performance was worst during the last couple of years.Further Gambhir has been selected for this tour based on his recent performance.Isn't this correct. Also Dhoni's tendency is not to groom young new comer. He did not give ball to Binny in the 2nd test but given to Rohit & Dhawan whom Dhoni felt are strike/regular bowler
