I suggest 3 member committee. 1. prakashkarat 2. gopal subrahmanyam 3.t.n. seshan. additionally if you want a core criket man consider the best person a.c. muthiya.
all the authorities to RD & AK. these are the only two member who can run this organization well..do not consider any cunning wicked silentkiller kind of person.
With another BCCI-instituted probe under way, it is perhaps pertinent to recall that in1997, the BCCI had appointed retired SC Chief Justice YV Chandrachud as a one-man committee of inquiry to probe the allegations of rampant fixing. The venerable ex-JudgeHe refused to meet the policeman who had taped evidence : “It is not in my brief,” he excused himself. Later in 2003, DV Subba Rao probed the allegation that Abhijit Kale had offered bribes to two selectors. Rao did not meet a single person who could have shed light on the question. Why? “The terms of reference have been restricted, so the inquiry was limited to only those three persons.” The SC must be careful as the record shows that BCCI is too smart for anybody to catch!
Sad to see BCCI nominating Ravi Shastri as amenorrhea of the committee. Ravi is paid employee of BCCI and certainly has vested interests. BCCI has deliberately appointed him so that they can keep a tab on what's happening on the investigation by the committee... Ravi should recuse himself or SC should suggest other names.. Ther are many non vested icons: Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid, Laxman, Bishen Bedi, Sachin etc to name afew... Ravi is completely unacceptable for a free and independent enquiry. He ows his pay packet to Srinivasan and will not do affair job.
Can suggest prominent ex-cricketers like Mhd. Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja and Prabhakar to be in the probe panel. They will be much effective than a retired judge.
