there are two principles of natural justice, one is the audi alterem partem meaning hear the other side. The second is nemo judex sua causa meaning none can be a judge in his own case. Was Srini given a chance to present his defence before the Mudgal committee? Was there any allegations against him? Is he facing criminal investigation or charges? If answers to these questions are in the negative, both principles of natural justice have been given the go by. The investigation is now by the police and is not against him but against his son in law. If the answers are not in the negative, i shall stand corrected and withdraw my remarks. Otherwise i stand by them

The only principle that the people in the positions of privilege know is 'a person is innocent till proved guilty'. They have repeated that ad nauseum.

Since u know a bit of law surely u wud agree the SC also knowns it well enough. Hadn't all your doubts been positive the SC wud not have asked him to quit. After all our system based on clinching evidence only, allows Advani, Modi, Vadra, Pawar, Quatrocchi, Raj, Ambani, etc to go scot free for the lack of them.
