IPL is an in-house affair of corporate houses. when we can have future trading in commodities there is absolutely nothing illegal in an in-house event (IPL) betting.

No.It is not just shame.He was afraid that his own role in IPL betting would be exposed. Alas, he was not even protecting his son-in-law as thought by many because he was actually partner-in-crime with his damaad!
