THREE CHEERS TO IPL
by damodaran mohan on Apr 14, 2014 07:24 PM  | Hide replies

It is nothing less than miracle that we are going to have IPL yet again! Credit must go to SC which appears to be the greatest cricket fan of the country deciding that the 'show' must go on despite serious misdemeanors committed by the managers and players of IPL. Logic appears to be very clear that the challenges of running clean sports has got to be met and a few bad eggs in any field for that matter cannot be cause for its scrapping.Thank you SC, so far so good. We are sure the legendry Gavaskar-Parekh team, , given their experience and stature will live up to everyone's expectations to conduct the IPL in a manner as to restore confidence of fans that will make it as great a sporting event as ever. Although the IPL matches venue for the first part doesn’t instill all that great confidence but we are sure the IPL management is competent enough to take all precautionary measures for a smooth conduct of the matches to restore credibility. Certain administrative decisions like doing away with cheer leaders, evening parties etc, are welcome as they are often the source of bad influence on otherwise clean conduct of the game. Laying down of strict guidelines/ground rules and their strict implementation for presence of personnel in the dug outs, ground and other sensitive areas at match venues accessible to players, use of mobiles etc. are very vital to clean conduct of the games. IPL management just cannot afford even a minor bip of the past unsavory incide

Deepak parekh is appointed as an advisor to Gavaskar
by P S on Apr 11, 2014 11:42 PM  | Hide replies

Deepak Parekh is not as good advisor as he is shown to be. He is an opportunist person who always take undue advantage of his connection and is the person not having independent opinions and always go in the direction where wind blow. He got a position in HDFC because of his great uncle Hasmukhbhai Parekh who started the new concept of housing finance in the country .

Cricket is not a sport but a money minting machine for businessmen who make players dance to their tune.

He may not have given your answers. My answer is that there is nothing wrong in minting money and even in looting and fooling ordinary people.
