Pujara was not even given a chance even in a dead rubber in the Asia Cup! How can a team ignore their topmost test player from the ODI team. If the likes of Rohit can be given umpteen chances and still have their average in mid 30s, this classy batsman is an asset on foreign soil and is a must for the WC2015. Rohit n Pujara can open if Dhawan is out of form or we can have Pujara at 3 with Kohli at 4. Any other team would have taken him in ODI long ago. For ODIs we need technique not just flamboyance.
He doesnot have any style or timing. Such a bore to watch him labour his innings. We need class players like Laxman, whose silken drives were a treat to watch.

Without giving a chance how can somone judge his capacity. When Sachin was playing ODI, he used to bat at no. 4/5/6 position. Later on he was promoted to open. Even Shewag was nowhere in ODI.

just look at laxman, we gave him several chances in odi but he never played well in odis but in test he is very good, like that pujaras shorts and defences are for test playing only. there are many players waiting outside to play at odi for india. give the new players some chance not pujara.....

In places outside the subcontinent, Laxman and Dravid have sucess. I think the Pujara is essential in the upcoming world cup in NZ and Aus
