Political Power
by usha sundaram on Sep 30, 2013 07:22 AM

N. Srinivasan is a benamis for DMK chief M.K. Thus he enjoys immense political power. So until MK kicks the bucket N.Srinivasan will continue to control BCCI.

Conflict of interests
by Ashish Singh on Sep 29, 2013 07:12 PM  | Hide replies

One of the points in the "show cause notice " issued to Lalit Modi was that he had conflict of interests in the IPL team Rajasthan Royals, as one of its owners was a Mr Chelaram, Modi's brother-in-law. The then BCCI President Shashank Manohar, known for his honesty had issued this notice. Where was Manohar's honesty when Srinivasan (who then was BCCI treasurer) owner of Indian Cements purchased the Chennai Super Kings? Lets not talk about this man or other being honest,so long as you are raking the moolah, everything is OK. If Modi deserves to get a notice on conflict of interests,so does Srinivasan.

Who will bell the cat? In recent times, Bindra, Jaitley and Shukla did show some gumption to show dissent…….they have been ‘silenced’; just calculate their monetary losses if they have to go the way of Jagdale & Shirke! Earlier, it was Dalmia…….’best before Sept 29 AGM’. Last man ‘standing’ against BCCI Chief is Aditya Verma of CAB [with a prayer on lips and hope in SC]. Not a single association thought it fit to support him. Conflict of Interest, Mis-use of Chief’s Power to Amend Constitution, Protecting Kin, Promoting own Franchise…….Mr Srinivasan does not even need a ‘repellent’ to protect himself from these mosquito bites!

BCCI Constitution : We, its makers, alone shall win!
by Balwinder Kang on Sep 29, 2013 06:01 PM

Anybody could have raised a dissenting voice when as Treasurer Mr Srinivasan tweaked rules to “own’ a franchise [CSK] despite being a BCCI official. Nobody did……..they were all satisfied with the ‘moolah’ they were getting. He later got BCCI constitution changed due to which he [and his other 8 cronies] could get elected today unopposed. Nobody raised a little finger in objection…despite knowing well that this change will result in helping Mr Srinivasan get another year as BCCI chief. With the muck flying round now, all holy cows are quick to train guns on Srinivasan alone, while all of them had acquiesced to this deliberate pre-planned hijacking ……..nay, they all [including our legendary icons, Gavaskar, Sashtri, Kumble, Srinath, Srikanth & others] were beneficiaries of BCCI munificence and kept quiet under the money-rain! It is a gentleman’s game few of them play now.
