Amidst the din of passionate cries for Mr Srinivasan’s ouster, one needs to shut himself off to find some sense……..some logic in my own icons like Srinath, Kumble, Vishwanath & Srikanth backing him! Tomorrow, some officials of various cricket associations supporting SN will surely be nominated to various committees of BCCI, as a quid pro quo. Each association also gets a Rs. 10 Cr plus income from media rights and over Rs 12 Cr from IPL collections besides an infra-structure subsidy of Rs 60-70 Crs. It does NOT, therefore, make any economic sense for any association to oppose Mr Srinivasan…….let all other issues be dealt with separately, at SC, or, wherever they can be. Why should anyone commit hara-kiri? Only CAB could afford to do so as they do NOT any of above benefits……..despite all the moralistic harangue, they could not even 1 more association to support them! Everybody is rightly being ‘practical’!
It is a disgrace for BCCI to harbour a person like Srinivasan to be the President. The apex court unnecesarily gave him the opportunity to contest the election though he will not be allowed to take charge. The apex ought to have debarred such a power hungry / crazy fellow to contest the election.Actually the Government should step in to stop such nonsense. The Govt. was prompt to pass an ordinance to protect M.Ps with a criminal background. But remains a mute spectator to such craziness. A law needs to be passed ensuring that only sports personalities will head governing Bodies of Hockey / Cricket etc. Neither politicians nor capitalist will have the right to be on such 'Bodies.'It ia shame and utter nuisance.
A POWER CRAZY STUBBORN GUY WITHOUT ANY SELF-RESPECT. HE WILL NOT LEAVE THE POST UNLESS HE IS THROWN OUT. I WONDER WHAT THE OTHER 31 MEMBERS OF THE WORKING COMMITTEE IS DOING? ARE THEY PUPPET OR BRIBED/PURCHASED BY NS? I WOULD REQUEST APEX COURT TO TAKE STERN ACTION.

Mr Srinivasan has done a yeoman’s service to his cause as BCCI Chief. He has shown the moral courage of letting Mr Dalmia take the decisions [to be signed by Mr Srinivasan] during the period he recuesed himself from Board’s day-to-day working. His dedication to cleanse the Board’s affairs in ‘chairing’ the meetings to take disciplinary action against Sreesanth and Modi is obvious for all to see. Now by making himself available for re-election, he is making the supreme sacrifice in saving the Board of not having a Chief at all! On Sunday, all will find that there is no match to Mr Srinivasan…..he has always played by the rule-book!
It seems that GOI made a mistake by making ordinance for politicians. They actually should have brought one for BCCI & would have done yeoman service towards Indian cricket.
