I disagree with Kirmani..... No one is bothered of Sachin's retirement AS LONG AS HE IS NOT IN PLAYING XIV (CHOSEN) He should not block any youngster's chance...

If what Kirmani a known crony of Sachin is true than why should we have selection committee? let him play gully cricket for rest of his life but drop the guy from national squad as better & younger players are sitting on fence.

Sachin Retirement --- !!!!
by Gokul Sharma on Sep 19, 2013 11:20 AM  | Hide replies

It will be foolish to keep talking on Sachin's retirement. He should have retired from Test Cricket also by now. He is 40 years plus. What cricket left in him is nothing compared to many up-coming youngsters, may be a dozen of them. It is unnecessary hype created by BCCI, as they are more bothered about rich cricketrs, not the standard of cricket in India. Sachin should have been shown the door, few years back considering his deteriorating form. Boycott had already commented adversely and many more. What is required now. Look at Dravid, how gracefully, he left. This sport of mentality is required in the elder players. Then only, standard of cricket in India will remain consistent.

Gokul -- no one asks him to retire because he is 40 . They are asking him to retire for failing to live up to the potential in the last 2 yrs.
