He will not decide
by SA VATE on Sep 19, 2013 04:43 PM  | Hide replies

He will never decide as far as retirement is concerned. It is high time some one else decides on his behalf. Perhaps, he may decide when LKA decides to quit aspiring to become the PM of India.

In Sports, the only thing that counts is performance and based on that for the past 10 or so tests, Sachin do not deserve to be selected. Past performance plays no role, only thing that matters is current performance.

Why??
by adam smith on Sep 19, 2013 04:24 PM

Is he a politician who comes without a retirement age?? Oooops! He is one, though of a nominated kind! These politicians NEVER retire, they only fade away to that Parliament in the sky!

Seriously, he should not be selected, whether it is a T20, ODI, or a Test match. That is the only way he’ll go.

Like most Indians I have had a high respect for him and his game all these years. But then every thing comes with a shelf life. His is long past ….and he shouldn’t wait to be dumped in the dust bin of selectors.

Jai ho Kirmani
by Ramdas Nayak on Sep 19, 2013 03:42 PM

I fully agree with Mr Kirmani. He should play till his son Arjun fully grows as a cricketer to get a place in Test team and cement his place in the national team. We should have a name Tendulkar permanently in our team, Jai Ho Sachin Jai Ho Kirmani,

Yes, let him take his time

Let him take his own time to decide on when to retire, But what is stopping the selectors from selecting the best team with so many budding younsters waiting in the queue with such terrific talent, the selection should be on the basis of present form, Otherwise, please call back Sehwag, Gambhir etc also in the team, why only sachin

Mr.Sachin's retirement
by mallajosyula senior on Sep 19, 2013 03:09 PM

Kirmani like people are having a hole in the head.
Which Cricketer would like to retire?Every cricketer wanted to hang on for ever thinking that he would score in the next match.Do not select him by name or his past glory. If Mr.Sachin is scoring runs he will continue if not he must be dropped.Rule should be same for all

We are not nationalistic.
by cvbcvb vxcbv on Sep 19, 2013 03:08 PM

We have been hearing about his retirement plans from close to 3 years. In our country Individuals are given more important than national interest. We devote individuals so much that they misuse the respect and freedom given by countrymen.
If Sachin was in Japan or any other European country irrespective of his cadre and past records he wouldn’t have considered for selection for any tournaments after 2011 world- cup. He would have received a pink slip which says “we would like thank you for your services to the nation. However we do not require your services anymore. We would like to give opportunity to new talent in your place who will become asset to our team for future tournaments”.
We Suck as a nation and believe in giving exception based on merit / past records. We have failed and continue to fail as long as we don’t give up such attitude. It should start today and now.

All these information about his retirement are making Sachin irritated and perhaps he will not retire at all.
