BCCI has to find a scapegoat!
by Balwinder Kang on Sep 17, 2013 12:05 AM

It has been manifestly evident that there has been a complicity between certain officials, players and bookies. On at least 2 earlier occasions [1997-Chandrachud Committee & 2003-DV Subba Rao Committee] BCCI was able to push inconvenient issues under the carpet by manipulating terms of reference. Even now, ire has been directed at Lalit Modi and Sreesanth [BCCI should be seen doing something!]……letting Kundra, Guru and Srini go scot-free!

Why nobody believes judiciary?
by seejo paul on Sep 16, 2013 10:36 PM  | Hide replies

Judiciary pointed out that there wasnt any concrete evidenece against him. Even before this charge, nobody including me liked his character. But tats a different thing. The point is whether he willingly conceded that runs. Only thing which rose suspicion in my mind is the way he reacted to a straight shot. Seeing the vdo one gets the impression that he doesnt want to stop that boundary. But sometimes bowlers pull their hands bcoz of fear of being hurt. Wat my point is until and unless he is proved guilty in court he shud not be treated as a culprit.

Buddy every one applauded the same Sreesanth when he hit Andrew Nel for 6 and danced. Didnt we applaud? Its the public who makes a hero and Zero to. Just grow up. Thats a different issue. This is his life who played for the country, is being banned for life for not fault of his. Even the judiciary agrees he is innocent. This has been happening in this country for so long because of corrupt officials and politicians.

Even educated people in this forum behave as if they are judges in a kangaroo court. Verdicts were passed by the media on Sree as if everybody checked everything out and gave him a fair trial

There is no limit for the greed. He is the living example. He should have selected enough girl friends that will take care from his known source of income. That is his failure.

No evidence whatsoever
by Debo Mcnair on Sep 16, 2013 09:45 PM  | Hide replies

Even if he did cheat (which I dont think he did) the burden of proof is on the police/BCCI. They need to present as evidence record of one phone call or financial transaction that happened in this case. Without it banning him is denying him his fundamental right to practice his craft.

How can u say that. Can u imagine the earnings of a cricketer. The only amount police claims to be spent by him is almost 10 lacs. Dont u know a cricketer is far more richer than that? I am not saying he is innocent. But it is not proved yet.

He should be ban for some years if he did something wrong. This is very small crime as compared to the big scams, taking bribe in govt offices, police... etc. and what about big fishes, Srisant is a scapegoat only...

Sad that being a mallu he is not getting any support. Prasanth, what evidence we have to say that he is a cheater? If he is guilty let it be proved first. He is not looting the country like the politicians are doing. May be he is arrogant, aggressive, etc. It doesn't mean that he should be sent to jail for life long. I hope You are not jealous of him :P
