great thoughts.. we compelled to follow cricket just because no alternative .. unfortunately we must follow cricket the only one game which can give sreelanka, pakisthan as world champions.. why we can't think beyond this?? no wonder Bangladesh wil next world cup.. not blaming anybody but why we can't stop 7 nation cricket and concentrate main stream games??

DO NOT TINKER TOO MUCH WITH INDIAN ONE DAY SIDE
by damodaran mohan on Sep 16, 2013 06:49 PM

Selectors have been very generous doling out places to old Test discards even if it is A sides thus giving them some chance to prove their worth. While it is a laudable move but the interest of future of Indian cricket has to be the upper most. The selectors have to be very careful and cautious in applying the various criteria for recalling the old and aging players back into a young-knit side that has made winning a habit in recent times. Just couple of big knocks against a 2nd rate visiting side may not be just good enough and other criteria of age, seniority, IPR with captain and other team members, ego, psychological state of mind … all these things need to be weighed in for each of the intended come back player. Of course the criteria will have to be different for the three versions. The 2015 WC team building up has to be the first priority. Considering that the present young side under Dhoni is doing very well the selectors should not tinker off much here and create confusion. At best Yuvi could be included in case he becomes more consistent. For T20, it is better to avoid seniors on comeback trail completely. In fact promising youngsters should be tried out may be under captaincy of Virat Kohli in case Dhoni opts out. In respect of Tests there is room for trying out some oldies based on performances. May be Sehwag can be tried out in the middle order but for most like Sehwag,Gambhir, Zaheer Sachin.. it is time for start of retirement planning.
