Even today Dhavan and Sehwag are the best bet to open for India,,, Vijay is only flash player. Yuvraj singjh is must with HARBJAN IN odi's if we need to win WC2015 again.. Gambhir though needs lot of practice and scores with Zaheer to come back into Indian Team
There was a speculation sometime back that.... are these Seniors completely out of contention for selection.... But thankfully that didn't happen.... But the point is that if they were in contention then.... they should have been selected.... in Ind-A squad for SA as well.... Especially Gauti, Viru & Zak.... Why were they ignored for that tour.... coz that tour was more meaningful & important.... I think instead of Pujara.... either Viru or Gauti should have been named as Captain.... Pujara has done a good job as Captain.... But they are Senior to Pujara.... Selectors should have that much respect for the seniors....

This will give boost to Tendulkar to continue even after he completes his 200 test appearances in cricket for India.
history tells how north indian greats like kapil dev,navjot sidhu,madan lal,amarnath,bisen bedi,maninder singh,manoj prabhaker,chetan sharma etc were treated by selectors and were not allowed to play the no of matches they could have played because of their immense talent.....thanks to then time politician gavasker,vangserker,azharruddin etc
why sehwag was not made caption when dhoni lost 8 consecutive test oversees....it is dirty politics.....and now they insulting great sehwag by giving him a life line...he is the life line of indian cricket

get your facts right... we lost 8 consecutive tests overseas, but dhoni was captain in 7 of those tests and sehwag was captain in 1 test...
ind A??? is it for watching newcomers' talent or for oldies to represent in the team? mohd kaif in the team?? funny. better to hv sachin also in the team. atleast he can get some practice of getting out !!!

hahahaha!!! Performance is not the criterion for India main team. Past performances, past glory, providing platform for 200th test personal record, these are the criteria. Why not recall Bishen Singh Bedi, Venkataraghavan, Anil Kumble, for representing India?

The Team is selected by a five men Selection Committee and not by Dhoni. If Dhoni had his way, definitely Sehwag would not have found a place in the team. High time people stop targeting Dhoni.
It can happen only in BCCI run game where a twice triple & double century maker & missing one each by whisker has to be given lifeline.What bothers me most is that this amazing talent who always played his game for country is given such shoddy treatment to accommodate a 42 yrs old spent force @number 4 which legitimately belongs to Sehwag.

Please see Sehwag's scores in the last 2 years in ODI's and Tests. The guy does not deserves a place in the Indian team. Guess u from Delhi and thats why you supporting him. A guy with average common sense can also figure out Sehwag's form. You can understand where u stand ? and thats why the great comment from you
