It is inexcusable blunder on the part of Selectors to even to think of inclusion of Ishant in the ODI side for the rest of the matches.More baffling is Dhoni's advocacy for his inclusion.2 wickets for nearly 200 runs in the three matches.India is not so impoverished as not to find a better substitute for the panic-stricken ball-hurler like Ishant.
a very important weapon a bowler should have is good line and length, which made several legendary bowlers apply time and again when they faced situation like ishant did.only thing ishant lacks is this very basic formula of good line and length.when he being smashed for those big hits,he keep bowling same like a school lad trying to learn.this is not the time to learn for him and its time to act.or at least give other bowlers a chance.
1. injury Prone Zaheer. 2. The so called Pace men who came into reckoning at 135 - 145 mph. but over time have settled at 110-120 mph average. 3. who is the choice tell me?
I believe the 2 questions posed by Rediff are contradictory in nature and can't have the same answer i.e. "Is this good enough to qualify for the team? Should he have been dropped?". If the answers to former is Yes, then obviously the second one wud have a No. Think agn and modify.
its not ishants fault its DHONI who is the main culprit, DHONI favours some of the players like his son in laws likes of ashwin , jadeja ,ishant ,get rid of dhoni from captain from all format and allow him to play only in subcontinent,
A bowler who could bowl fast and a bowler who could take a wicket or two every test match. also but his time is gone now. lets give youngsters a chance as he has not performed for last 6-7 years.
