Remember his ennings!
by Harshal S on Oct 18, 2013 11:15 AM

Against England when OLD Stalwards were responsible for loosing a series. His efforts with Dhoni to save a match should be treated as his best inning.

when our expectation are more on this young man, we will always expect similar innings in future also. Even, he can do much in future. And he is capable of smashing the earlier records also.
BEST OF LUCK KOHLI
WE ARE WITH YOU.

The Match at Hobart was the Best
by Rajeev Venkat on Oct 18, 2013 10:08 AM

The match at Hobart (if I remember well) when India had to chase some 320 against Sri Lanka in some 40 Overs to qualify for the Final on NRR in which, Kohli had come in & smashed a 70-odd ball Century toying with the likes of Malinga.

Undoubtedly that was the Best of Kohli for the sheer audacity & guts to have desired to not just win but qualify in the Final.

That was the Best innings by any Indian in an ODI, if I may say so.

We lost the match the moment Virat came into bat: Bailey. This could sound good to hear but hear it again, it is actually bad for India. Not taking credit away, Can India not win without Virat? The first T20 was won when almost all the top order failed that includes Virat. For Indian selectors, it is bad omen if all fails when Virat misfires !!! Now that bowling is looked into, we wont say much about rust shedding.

chasing targets?sharjah 1998.. arguably one of the the greatest batting performances in the history of ODI cricket.. sachin ramesh tendulkar..
yes, virat is good.. but he is lucky to play in the current indian team.. a team of superstars.. poor old sachin till the 2000's played in the worst indian team of history.. sachin out india lose was the mantra those days.. so there's a big difference when comparing sachin to kohli.. australia had bowlers like warne & mcgrath (not in that sharjah match though).. in todays cricket where are the akrams, waqars, ambrose, walsh, shoaib akhtar type of bowlers? day in day out sachin used to single handedly fight for our country against these beasts.. and virat has to play againt the like of maxwell, doherty, faulkner.. not taking any credit away from virat but please leave sachin alone.. words cant describe what that man has done for our country and us..

indians scoring centuries in a flat pitch where bowler has nothing is not at all to be discussed as a great one.
It only added to his records/average only like dhobi's average in which not out plays mjor role.
A 50 or 90 in a turning track/bouncing Juicy pitch is more than a triple hundred in subcontinent.
So no point of exaggerating a flat pitch bullies innings.

It was a very good inning
by pradeep agarwal on Oct 17, 2013 05:42 PM

He played through his skin & under pressure of huge target.I however, as a lover of game would prefer an even contest between bat & ball. The bowlers are already treated like a step child in matter of field placement & now the tracks of this nature where you can play with your eyes closed

Can't compare the little master with Kohli. Sachin battled during the bowling greats like McGrath, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar, etc. There isn't a single bowler in the current era who'd match the afore. That said one can't belittle Kohli's efforts. Who Knows. He probably would've battered the above mentioned bowlers too.
