this is the series to test the fringes. bowlers like mishra, dhawal kulkarni, ishwar pandey etc should have been given the chances in all the matches instead of the tried and tested ishant or vinay and even ashwin. its not about winning the series alone that should matter to him, dhoni should make sure he comes out of his csk mindset and pick players who needs good exposure before the 2015 wc.
Who is captain? if team is played well .. that honor goes to captain., if team fails.. captain need to bring the team from trouble to win.. see the How the Bailey did it in His team.. Dhoni claimed the matter to team members.. but what about his own performance ?
1. Dhoni need to bat well ... not like in t20 2. Ishanth, vinay need to remove 3. Jadeja need to remove 4. Dhawan, Rohith, Raina need to stand well 5. Kohhi is going for adds, need to play

Even I am not a fan of Dhoni, but your comments forced me to write that your 'Gilli Danda ' player has best average in one days in India for long, he is the captain of the Team who have won world cups in both formats and has led the team to be the world no 1 team i tests too. So, keep you personal, prejudiced opinions with you and play gilli danda in a better way.

Kumar varun.. if team is played well,, that is not belongs to Dhoni.. you need to know this.. Dhoni got the publicity when team is played well, not with his play, very few times he played well.. he has many failures too

Yes peaceman, it is a team game, but Dhoni has unquestionably helped India win plenty of matches, and was the key batsman along with Gambhir who helped us win the World Cup final, no less! He has one of the highest ODI averages in world cricket and is THE best finisher, bar none! So stop talking nonesense, if u want to criticise Dhoni, back up your statements with facts and not emotional statements!

peaceman, kindly see his average and the number of times he has led India to victory, most of them from hopeless situations. A player cannot have such an average after playing more than 225 matches only by playing good 'few Times'. The problem is that 1-2 failures irritates people like you and you get opportunity to write out your minds.

Varun, dude, there is no need to even bother responding to such nonesensical comments, blatantly biased as they are, with no rendition or basis of fact whatsoever. Dhoni is without doubt our most important player in ODI cricket and unquestionably the best finisher in the game! Whatever anyone may say about him, the plain and simple truth is that he has delivered for India and will continue to do so going forward as well!

Sir, with all regards to your profile..can I ask one qus?.. have you ever seen dhoni playing a perfect forward defensive shot? in any format of the game..which is termed as a best signal of a recognised batsman? I have played ckt at University level...interuniversity years back...that's why I am asking..

Dhoni is only a club cricketer of now a days...If team fails,,he says nothing...media says nothing...if team plays well and wins, dhoni & media both take advantage of that.. this is the practice...just see the past

If a team can make 200 runs in a 20 over match but not 300 runs from 50 overs, then squarely the blame lies with the batsmen.
One can crow from roof tops about failure of batsmen like Dhawan, Yuvraj and Dhoni but the fact of the matter is that the blame lies more with the likes of Rohit Sharma, Raina and Kohli who didn't go on to win the match for India with their batting after getting well set.
Anyway, I am a die hard supporter of this team sans the deadwood of yore and wish them good luck in the remaining matches.
Baily is given 80 runs.. but Dhoni? Baily is given right captaincy to his team members but Dhoni... Dhoni failed in his batting Dnoni failed in managing bowlers a Captain is need to give his own support to team.. if team members plays well all credit is going to captain.. if team is failed ..
