All the best sachin. u should have done this atleast 3-4 years earlier. If then u could have bid adieu with much more respect and self pride. But saying that, i must also say that u have been a great ambassador to the game. The elegance with which u play ur strokes was second to none. Thanks for entertaining us all these years and wish u all the very best in the future...Before signing off, there is one humble request. Dont spoil ur name anymore by associating urself with indian national congress!!!
He has had his good days but those days are sadly behind him. It is a good decision, but I hope that he will get at least a couple of decent scores so that he can go out in style. Enjoyed your presence Sachin, sad to see you go, but it's time.
Finally Sachin realized that it is good to retire now, as he would lose all his sponsors when he would come out batting with a walking stick in one hand and glasses on his nose.
By the way, Sachin has claimed tax exemption by claiming that he has earned all his money from acting (TV Commercials) and not playing Cricket. He informed Income Tax Tribunal that he is into acting and not Cricket. So much so for cricket. Good example before next generation Cricketers.

Can you enlighten us by saying how exactly income from acting is exempt from tax? I know something about the tax laws, but don't seem to recall any such exemption for actors.

In order to save tax of around Rs 2 crore on income derived from doing TV commercials, Tendulkar told the Income Tax tribunal that acting, not cricket, is his profession. This is like Bollywood stars claiming concessions as cricketeer , just because they played a Sunday game, to generate money for a cause.

Request you to take his name with respect. Considering you had dedicated your life to ridiculing him while he was playing, now that he's retired, you can REALLY be jobless on this forum as you rightly said. There is no work for you here. Who will you instigate against?

Let's accept that Dhoni has been the most successful captain for India ever. He's played many memorable innings for India against good quality bowling. However to say he's better than SRT borders on the ridiculous.
I have read all the posts below, why so much negativity from many people. You cant even appreciate him as great player for work done by him. Remember u all are not even worth Gully cricketers, think yourselves are u jealous of him or you are living in life of negativity

Think about what you are and where you stand in front of this person, Sachin Tendulkar! At least he made a name for himself that is synonymous to Cricket and world recognizes his name. Every one who followed cricket and Indian cricket must remember that you all grew up watching him play for INDIA with Indian flag on his helmet! His profession is a cricketer and he earned from it and if you say he was playing for money then what is it that you do for daily living? Does that make you wrong too? Grow up!

I think we are missing the point. People do appreciate Tendulkar ...but are not appreciative of his not retiring earlier.
