After Dravid and Tendulkar announced their retirement from the IPLT20,the players' auction for 2014 will be very interesting.MI got their double success in 2013 because of Team selection.A well thought out home work before bidding for the suitable players in the auction will be a major step in consolidating the position of the team in the IPL.
"captaincy has brought a sense of responsibility" says the great man. For the Indian side however he is not the captain. So the question is whether the sense of responsibility will remain or go away for him as it has been happening all these yrs ? Undoubtedly it will be Rohit Sharma who will be the most watched Indian player in view of his recent brilliant batting display in the CLT20.No one has any doubt about his talent perhaps the reason Dhoni has been giving him the long rope. But based on his past records , the first thing that come to mind is if this fellow will be consistent with his bat now for a change to seal his place permanently? Or will It still be Fingers crossed for Rohit ? The series, it seems BCCI has managed a win-win situation in the sense that in the absence of Michael Clarke India looks to have an edge while the young Aus side gains useful experience in difficult Indian conditions before the Ashes series. In fact the last Test series which the Aus had lost to India 4-0 had helped the young inexperienced side gain experience to deal with the Brits better. As far as the Indian side the young side should be quite confident with recent successes in CT, WI and Zimb tours. However Sir Jadeja looked jaded and completely lost in the CLT20 and we only hope he would be his old self. May be ,after 3 matches it is worth including pacer all-rounder A/Nayar in the 15 to replace a pacer to try out 2pacers-2 spinners combo if needed.

Hello Shilpa,
Your dream may not come true thistime. This is not Test Match series. In one day competition still aussies are kings. Haven't you seen their performance in last one day series against England?. I hope aussies would take he series 4-3.

I do agree with you he (sharma) is a compelete failure coming to one-day matches - very sorry state of affairs. However he is still being selected forthe reason he is too close to Dhnoi our captain - in other words he is blue eyed boy of our capatain
