Whats wrong? Azhar was not called to give tips on honesty.. As Kathir Krishnamurthi points out below, the positives of Azhar are more when compared to his vices. And was it your retirement party BTW?

Also lets move on stop tqalking about SACHIN, he is done. Lets focus on 2 big series. India-WI and India-SA.. ODI'S 6 GAMES critical for all youngsters and Yuvraj- RAINA too as Yuvraj atlesst scored 77 but RAINA GFAILED miserably against Australia. We need these 2 IN THE 2015 world cup. Cant win it with Vijays, Rohits and Rahnes etc...

Good to see Azhar & Sehwag
by hussain khan on Nov 20, 2013 10:32 AM  | Hide replies

Don't know about Kambli & Dravid, but is good to see that he invited Azhar & Sehwag, I think these two cricketers has provide him little bit of support, Sachin played nearly 10 years under Azhar and it was Azhar who gave him opening position in one day matches. And because of some of Sehwag's blistering inning on other side sachin able to played some controlled innings irrespective of run rate.

Sehwag should be playing ibn SA test matches as Rohit and vIJAAY CANT play on bouncy pitches... surely there luck will run out... Sehwag is a must he is a big match player and a match winner

Dont understand why people are so bothered about absence of Kambli or Dravid or anybody.. There could be rifts, personal commitments, health reasons, etc. How is it important?

Exactly there is a rift. No prizes for guessing that. Starting from Multan declaration to Dravid's farewell ceremony. Shame on Sachin for promoting sycophancy. Preaches something and practices just the opposite

How do you know that Sachin was invited in the first place? Maybe it was just an eye wash by sachin and dravid about personal commitments after the party was over.

Dhoni did not attend Laxman's party. Your comments?

Dravid's farewell, which I am referring to, was an official one by BCCI at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. The Indian team was invited for it.

Lame excuses and justification can't be treated as questions. No individual is above team. If team is invited means it includes everyone who is currently in that.

Was Sachin not in Indian team at that point in time? If Indian team gets an invitation that means he is included in that. Its very clear there is a rift between Rahul and Sachin. No rocket science.

Gracing the occasion of Sachin
by Vijay Chauhan on Nov 19, 2013 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

it is really pathetic to see such words like 'Azhar gracing the occasion". The person convicted for selling the country's grace by match-fixing, how can he be gracing the occasion of a towering personality like Sachin!

If such things are taken into account, only SRT and his family should be "gracing" the occasion.

Look at azhar's contribution to the game and subtract the faults and you will see a bright world. He was fiedling his Jonty when there was none even remoately in the Indian team. He played with grace and touch

Azhar was never convicted. And it is impossible to believe that Azhar was involved in match fixing. Even a true patriot like Kapil Dev openly came out in support of Azhar. Same is the case with Jadeja
