it is really pathetic to see such words like 'Azhar gracing the occasion". The person convicted for selling the country's grace by match-fixing, how can he be gracing the occasion of a towering personality like Sachin!

If such things are taken into account, only SRT and his family should be "gracing" the occasion.

Look at azhar's contribution to the game and subtract the faults and you will see a bright world. He was fiedling his Jonty when there was none even remoately in the Indian team. He played with grace and touch

Azhar was never convicted. And it is impossible to believe that Azhar was involved in match fixing. Even a true patriot like Kapil Dev openly came out in support of Azhar. Same is the case with Jadeja
Mohammad Azharuddin...such a horrible looking guy with atrocious dress sense...is bad patch on Indian cricket. He was the most corrupt cricketer in India’s cricketing history. His presence at Sachin Tendulkars party…who is icon of leading clean life…on and off the pitch…is really not acceptable.

ChupBeCh00tiya ... Everybody is a saint as long as he doesn't get caught. Tingu is good in avoiding spotlight on himself, while silently doing the work in the background.

Kambli is the childhood / school friend, but he was criticizes more to Sachin for his under perform and retirement. That's why Sachin NOT invited him....

nor Dravid. Sachin gave a miss to Dravid's farewell. He attended Mukesh Ambani's party previous day and the day of Dravid's farewell, he flew off to London saying he needed a break! Such is the greatness of this man....anyway there are more political reasons to honour him with postage stamps and BR than anything.

Thanks for your judgement, Solid! Don't get personal. BTW are you Dravid's family member to know what he feels? You are simply taking one legend for granted and favouring another just because he's your favourite.

Same logic to you. Just because you hate Sachin you are writing whatever you feel. Did you bother to read the news where Dravid said that Sachin informed in advance that he could not attend it. Family takes priority when you dont have matches, if you dint know.

I know that he informed..but previous night attending Ambani's party was ok but missing out a fellow cricketer's farewell with whom he has the highest number of runs together on the next morning is bizzare. Family suddenly came in the way!

How do you know that Sachin was invited in the first place? Maybe it was just an eye wash by sachin and dravid about personal commitments after the party was over.
Dhoni did not attend Laxman's party. Your comments?

That's the greatness of Rahul that he doesn't bother about all these things. Definitely Sachin has to grow up and his tendency to promote sycophancy around him has exactly got him Rajya Sabha seat and Bharat Ratna.

greatness of rahul dravid is to not attend sachins farewell party. that is the grown up behaviour shown by south indian rahul.
