the ashes are too close to call. England despite winning at home will find it difficult in Australia. Still they are the favorites, but going by their recent form it should be 2-1 to england.

THE ENGLISH HAVE THEIR JOB CUT OUT! NOT GOING TO BE EASY

Very balanced and nuanced analysis indeed. The column covers all the angles very well except for any firm conclusion one way or the other which is tough given the sudden unexpected Aussie resurgence. As rightly pointed out above the English leg was much closer than the score line of 3-0 suggests and let there be no doubt that the Englishmen are not going to have it all that easy. Although England on paper look a better side but the late surge in performance and confidence of the Aussie, it could be 50-50 at best for the comfort of the English and not more. The English might eye the fourth title but it is going tpo be close for sure.In England itself the English bowling was found wanting as the series progressed and even their batting dwindled. On the other hand Aus besides having home advantage their pace attack looked more incisive with their batting also looking up towards the end of the English leg. With George Bailey joining the side in his maiden Test, he looks as good as a replacement for Mike Hussy!GB’s other qualities and his overall personality seen during the India tour imparts further value addition to the side. Michael Clarke is one of the best bat both sides taken together but there does appear some chinks in his leadership style to motivate and get best out of his players. So what is not certain however is how much best pup can get out of likes of Watson, Johson, Faulkner ....others ? With GB the Captain I am prepared to bet $1 million on the Aus
