What ws d fault of Dhyanchand ? Why Dhyanchand wasn't given Bharat Ratna ???? I think Dhyanchand chose a wrong stick to play with , he shd hv played wth cricket bat instead of Hockey stick. He shdnt hv given india so many Olympic golds instead he shd hv played cricket simply.
i am not a fan here but i am looking him as a international icon.he so humble & down to earth.game apart because of this nature many legends like him.michal Schumacher,roger fedrar,do breadman (sorry for spell mistake) all these people like him then who are we just normal people.he is the best.all legends have some controversy but this guy last 24 years away from this.
Like everybody else I'm also crazy for cricket and great fan of SRT. The way he played the game and gave millions smiles to people around the country and world is phenomenal. He deserves all love and praises. But, But my question is about awarding him Bharat Ratna. As so called Indian cricket team is not at all India eleven and it represents BCCI. So technically SRT has not represented India on grounds but only has represented BCCI. Remember rift between Govt. & BCCI in sending full fledged team to Asian or commonwealth games and Canada. BCCI prefered Canada Sahara Cup instead Nation representation of the country either of two world events. So technically awarding a Bharat Ratna to SRT is wrong.

You call Atal Vajpayee as a "towering figure". May I ask what was his contribution during his stint as PM to get a Bharat Ratna? Yes detonating the atomic bomb & trigerring off a massive arms race in the sub continent. Sending the Indian Army to the border eye ball to eye ball with Pakistan & then withdrawing them signalling a pathetic defeat against our arch enemy. Sitting mum while Gujarat burned. I think these are his major accomplishments. Not sure if these warrant any Ratna.

he bring hope & joy in this country which is bigger thing than politicians work.if you give something to nation is great thing but if you bring smile on millions of peoples face is the most big thing.great legends even though amitab bhachan & leaders praise for tendulkar.money thing aside many international countries praise for him which is big achivement, so he deserves this award.

Banerjee....Sachin is that person....when he plays the time stopped....Every body stood infront of the tv sets whn this genious start the magic with his magical instrument(bat),,,At that time everyone became eager to see his game...& when he gets out the time starts again & people goto their work,,,,Moral is that he is the only person in cricketing history whom everyone wants to see & after his dismissal people turnoff their TVs...Don,t compare this legend with dirty politics,,,,he has given us joy since 24 years,,,so respect
In a Nation filled with Corrupt self serving politicians and Business Men few people have stood out as inspiration. Sachin is definitely one of them. He has a huge karmic bond with the people of India. The second person will be Amitabh Bachchan. And the third will be Lata Mangeskar. My request to Sachin is dont play into the hands of Congress. Dont join politics. You will contribute to people's life much better by staying away from Politics. Sonia or Rahul Gandhi are just using your fame boss. You are bundle of positive energy. Sonia is bundle of negative energy.
