Rediculas things given Bharat Ratna to Sachin Tendular
by Rajendra Mhaske on Nov 18, 2013 09:53 PM

I am very surprise about the GOVT decision to award the Bharat Ratna to sachin. It is election stunt. The Sachin is MP and Cricket player of BCCI. But still he is on MUM on india,s crucial issue like corruption etc. Even not raise voice. He should be retire very early ans given the opportunity to younger. He is retired after warn the senior cricketers and during retirement create the lot show & Advt, which is rediculas. However we can not thing Sachin name with our respective Vinoba Bhave/Saradar patel etc, cause they are our country hero and did the job for social to improve the country.

INSULT TO BHARAT RATNA
by Ram Kumar on Nov 17, 2013 04:37 PM  | Hide replies

Bharat Ratna for Sachin is little too much. Infact none of the players of BCCI deserve it. BCCI is an organization just like Infosys and Sachin and others are its paid employees. We call them "Indian" team because BCCI is the (only) Indian organ for the ICC. Sachin played for ICC, not for India. No more no less.

Had sachin played Asian games cricket, he would have been a "Indian" sportsman. But BCCI never allowed its troops to play in Asian Games and hence noone from BCCI really played for India. The reason is simple. BCCI cant mint billions of dollors playing Asian Games. In a way it has always resisted being INDIA- the country's representation.

Indian Government is ruled by a bunch of morons - so no wonder we are left to watch such tamasha everday..

Yes Insult to BRatna.
Is there some magical thing in Sachin that unfortunate things are happening. He has only entertained the sports viewers. What is his economic contribution apart from getting favours, money from the govt. he should start giving back to the people what he received from them...help the education, scientific, economic system. He is called Gxd even when he looks at another Gxd in the sky and prays for his performance

The following are more deserving candidates than Tendulkar in Sports category
1) Dhyanchand - Hockey
2) Vishwanathan Anand - Chess
3) Abhinav Bindra - Olympic Gold Medalist in Shooting
4) Geet Sethi - 7/8 times World Snooker Championship Winner
5) Leander Paes/Mahesh Bhupathi - Doubles Tennis Grand slam winner

Its not the ability and plenty of records made by SRT which has enabled him to be conferred with 'Bharat Ratna' but his unique distinction of being admired by entire Indian community irrespective of castes, class, religion and region and more over his contributions towards making positive branding of India outside of India made him most deserving candidate for BR.
Dhyanchand,V.Anand, Geet Sethi and others had won laurels in their respective fields but have not become the symbol of unity for entire India.
Since nineties, he is the only personality to stand tallest for his unique achievements.
He desreves BR more than anybody.

Achivements????
by Diggy Khan on Nov 17, 2013 10:27 AM  | Hide replies

In his cricket carrier spanning 200 tests, there are only just few handful innings that can be counted on finger tips, wherein he has played knocks that brought either victory to india or saved the nation from the jaws of a sure defeat to draw the match.

The Argetine Foot baller- Lionel Messi is one international player of repute netting goals after goals for his foot ball club, but has a distinction of not netting a single goal for his country, in any world cup he has played so far.

Colonial Mindset ???

By erroneously and hastly giving the National Civilian award to sports person of a Colonial Game- Cricket, and by not conferring the National award to a National Game- Hockey and its best exponent and legend late Mr. Dyanchand, is an open insult and affront to the sensiblity of an independant Nation- Bharat.

Bharat Ratna Tenulkar
by on Nov 17, 2013 10:15 AM  | Hide replies

Shocking, atrocious, one more foolish decision India makes every day. What he has done for India ? He played well (I doubt) and we paid for it and he amassed money - quitzs. When played well, Sachin played well. When India played bad, Sachin never played well to save India. This way tomorrow Amitabh Bachhan will also get BR, again will be a foolish step for same reasons.

100% correct.Sachin should be considered an entertrainer like Amitav Bachhan.Cricket is never a sporting game as per its creditibility and acceptance of advanced countries like US,RUSIA,Germany,France,Italy,China,Japan,Korea,Brazil,Argentina etc.etc......

While I have no issue Tendulkar getting Bharat Ratna (Dhyan Chand should have been given long back if we were to include sports as one of categories), timing is rather suspect. Clamour for BR on Tendulkar has been for quite some time. Why now? Now that Congress appear to be a gone case due to corruption/misgovernment, a desparate attempt at image make over, and probably Sachin will be used during poll campaign by Congress to improve image
