Cricket as a religion is over in India
by Maihoon Don on Nov 15, 2013 01:46 PM  | Hide replies

Because cricket needs personalities and role models....Sachin Tendulkar was the last emperor of Indian cricket, more or less world cricket.

With champion team Australia declining after the era of Mcgrath-Warne-Hayden-Gilchrist, cricket needs new champion teams and new role models.

Unlike football, where Messi, Ronaldo etc are carrying it forward, in cricket i don't see new role models.

Teams may win games, lose them but the era of champion role model Sachin and champion teams like Aus is gone now forever.

the last thing we need is girls commenting on cricket players..!! becoz we have seen women commentary during cricket matches . and needless to say its not for their indpeth cricketing knowledge . its just for adding glamour.
